I wish! No, those drums belong to a friend who was also playing that night. I just switch between super-basic drum machine patterns in Live and then layer sliced breaks on top. Might not be obvious from the vid, but the breaks are triggered from the guitar, which also outputs MIDI. Another button on the foot pedal controls a toggle to dictate whether guitar audio or breaks are heard when I play notes on the guitar. The breaks channel is of course also routed into a looper -> Turnado chain so I can loop and mangle the beats. It all gets very convoluted!manymanyhaha wrote: Sun Oct 19, 2025 3:20 pm Really great tips, thank you. We are kind of doing similar things: Playing guitar, using the computer to loop and mangle. Are you playing drums as well? Those drums next to you are either yours or another performers.
Just remembered there's a better example of all this. From 2hrs - 2hr 5min here:
Would love to hear/see what you've got going on.
I think I still have the old 32-bit .dll file for SupaTrigga around here somewhere - happy to share since it's abandonware. It works fine in Reaper, but I find it a little bit wild and unpredictable tbh.manymanyhaha wrote: Sun Oct 19, 2025 3:20 pm Looks like unobtanium but someone did port LiveCut so maybe SupaTrigga is somewhere too?
