Limitless is awesome but mainly as a multiband limiter, which is something I don't use very often now that we don't have to crush things into oblivion. If you need to reliably go super loud, then yes, Limitless would be a fine option for that. As a single band limiter only (which you can force it to operate as), it's not as transparent as some other options in my opinion.SamDi wrote: Tue Oct 21, 2025 12:25 amShouldn't you be a promotor for Limitless? Or are there several bManics around?bmanic wrote: Mon Oct 13, 2025 11:32 pm These threads need the mandatory mention of Thimeo Stereo Tool. It's Advanced Clipper algorithm is by far the best on the market in this segment.
As for limiters, I can only hype up what Neil already mentioned previously. Stay tuned!

Ozone's IRC5 is one of the best limiters I’ve tried.

I believe this. The right clipper on each individual channel can't be beat. A brickwall isp limiter is for the master Bus. Newfangled Elevate by Eventide is another Master Bus option.MichaelWhiteMusic wrote: Sun Oct 26, 2025 2:33 pm Best limiter imho is a clipper with a very good balanced mix

Another +1 for Pro L2 especially on transparent mode with no lookahead. I use it at the end of my master bus chain and on my drums bus.

I just realized that the Transparent algorithm is now exactly 15 years old.

Has the new limiter everyone keeps talking about come out yet? It would be great if someone could satisfy our curiosity.

I don't think it is out yet. I believe that both Nil and bmanic do beta testing for Rune so my best bet is that it's a Tone Projects plug. Definitely looking forward to it and I hope that I am right.
