Any idea what's happening with the legacy discount? It's supposed to be 30%, and yesterday it was working, but now it's deducting €24 from the price instead of €59.7. I was also using my European VAT number, but it seems that it only results in the tax appearing as €0, but the VAT amount is not actually deducted from the final price, as it stays the same as without a VAT number.

Yeah, looks like that's what they did. But that wasn't the case when it launched, as at the time the discount was indeed 30% from €199. It's their right to change it or do whatever they want, but feels pretty lame that they effectively raised the price compared to buying it a few days ago, especially considering that the reason I didn't buy it at the time is that the VAT deduction wasn't working. I was told they're working on that, at least.aMUSEd wrote: Sun Oct 19, 2025 11:02 amI have a horrible feeling it's setting the base price at €249 and deducting the 30% off thatgrandier wrote: Sat Oct 18, 2025 9:41 am The software looks great, and I'm really looking forward to using it. Yeah, I noticed the same thing. I hope they’re going to revert the change. To be honest, if it had been 175 in the beginning, I probably wouldn’t complain. But now I feel a bit ripped off. :*/
Maybe it’s better to wait for Black Friday now.

I thought it was pretty clear from what Matthias said in this thread
Atelier will be 249€ with (French) taxes. There will be 20% off at launch, 35% permanent for education, and 30% off for previous GRM Tools 3 customers (not cumulative, take the max that applies to you)

Fine but the consequence - which may be a good thing - is I’m less inclined to buy it immediately as I have other things I am prioritising in the near future. Now there is no time pressure to get it in the intro period I can do that, it’s their loss not mine

The first time I checked the price was on their website, not in this thread... And it matched exactly what grandier posted in his screenshot. So I think it's understandable to be frustrated about a €35 price increase in less than 24 hours, especially with no explanation. I still think it is an awesome product nonetheless
In regards to other nice features in the future:
A solo function for atelier would be useful addition.

I also got a lower price the first time I checked. If they have changed it now, like it seems, it is simply false advertising. They should either have written that you can't use the 30 % discount until after the introductory offer (199) ends, OR they should have waited until after the introducty offer ended. Or they should just have written you get a 10+ percent discount up until the intro offer ends.
As it is now, *everyone* can buy this for 199 Euro - without any previous connection or loyalty towards INA. They are then sending out 30 percent loyalty discount emails, stressing it is 30 percent off a list price which, as of now and one month forward, doesn't exist.
Been using GRM Tools since, oh, 2008 or something. This is pretty bad form from a company I respect.

I was ready to purchase GRM Tools Atelier—as a long-time user (since the GRM Tools Classic era), I wanted to support the project and take advantage of what I assumed were stackable offers:
I'm not here to complain. I'm a fan of GRM's work. But €249 is hard to swallow when the intro price was nearly €50 cheaper yesterday, and the lack of clarity feels like a misstep.
GRM Tools Atelier is a "niche product" and at this price, for me it will remain one.
- The introductory price of €199 (open to everyone).
- The 30% loyalty discount for existing customers (which I only discovered through this forum—no email notification from INA).

Hi all,
Sounds like some clarification is needed around here
. As I wrote earlier:
The price of Atelier is 249€. That's the base price it will be sold at next month for instance. It is real
We have 3 different discounts from this base price:
- intro/launch/early bird discount: -20% = 199€ (duration 1 month)
- discount for previous owner of any GRM Tools 3 products: 30% = 175€ (forever)
- education discount: 35% = 162€ (forever)
There was indeed a misconfiguration of our online shop for the first 72h, which allowed to accumulate discounts (intro price + student discount + legacy users discount). This was obviously not intended, they were supposed to be mutually exclusive (take the best offer); the early birds just got lucky.
Besides, I hear there are still problems with pro users/VAT calculations. I alerted the web team once more; they are working on it. From what I can read also some personal codes from previous owners got lost (this is a 30 y/o product). Just email us at grmtool.support@ina.fr with your iLok handle, we'll send you another code right away. That's true for any doubts or questions: grmtool.support@ina.fr.
Please don't shoot the messenger. We (Lucijan & myself, Atelier designers/devs) feel quite sad and helpless of these repeated mishaps (not in our hands). Super proud and happy of the all feedback on the software itself though. We are reading and taking note.

Any news on alternative payment options? I’ve stopped passing out my CC data on the internet a long time ago, and I don’t intend to change that for now.
At the same time I want to take advantage of the introductory offer, and very soon time will run out.
