A good ARA implementation might be a requirement to become a customer in the first place. Just think about it…!

I totally agree with you on that.

This is a simpler way to put what I was saying: if you don't offer it, people go to other products.
Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and even Deezer, whatever the hell Deezer is.

+1 for ARA2 in Tracktion Waveform!
Too bad the poll’s closed — I’d definitely vote for it.

I usually end up jumping over to Reaper whenever I need proper ARA2 support.

MTrackAlign is the latest plugin I really miss using in Tracktion. I often record multiple vocal and guitar takes, and ARA2-capable plugins are perfect for those situations.

Couldn't agree more - MTrackAlign is great but having to go to Reaper to use it isn't...

Yes, absolutely - but then again the ARA2-compatible plugin-landscape has become so vast now that there should be a lot on offer for nigh everybody. There are new ARA-compatible plugin popping up left and right nearly on a monthly basis now - I'll go as far as to say it might be that without ARA these plugins wouldn't even come into being in the first place. Stuff like Waves' Sync VX would probably quite hard to make and be a nightmare to use without ARA.

But what are some real advantages when using Melodyne in these DAWs vs. Tracktion?

As far as I can see as of now you have only posted some summary that looks Ai made and is mostly incorrect...

(I know you can use Melodyne as an ARA track-insert e.g. in Reaper (which requires ARA2) but not all ARA2 compatible DAWs support this - Studio One for instance (which you mentioned above) doesn't.)

Hard facts please! Don't water down your own - imo quite relevant - thread with haziness.

There appears to be work happening related to ARA2 in Tracktion Engine at least (github).

There are more ARA-based plugins than just Melodyne. The fact that only Melodyne can be used with this functionality in Waveform is the point of contention.

Nope, that is NOT AT ALL what dePUNDIT wrote.

And to quote myself from this very thread:

We're agreeing is what I'm reading, mate. Whose reading comprehension is lacking?
