One problem is on most payment sites when you need to authorise payment through the banking app I get a popup prompting me to do this, but the Spectrasonics shop doesn't do that, I had to figure out for myself to check my banking app which told me payment had failed because it needed authorising and do I want to do that now? Once I had done that it went through but I think their store is not fully conforming to certain standards.muzicxs wrote: Wed Oct 22, 2025 6:48 pmThat's good to know, thanks! In my case it was complaining about an AVS mismatch, which didn't make sense because the address matched exactly!aMUSEd wrote: Wed Oct 22, 2025 6:53 pm One problem is on most payment sites when you need to authorise payment through the banking app I get a popup prompting me to do this, but the Spectrasonics shop doesn't do that, I had to figure out for myself to check my banking app which told me payment had failed because it needed authorising and do I want to do that now? To be honest, the inability for support to help me out left a bad taste.

You don´t seem to understand me.IvyBirds wrote: Wed Oct 22, 2025 3:54 pmBut you can do that if you want to. You just click save as. It will default to saving in Steam>>Omnisphere>>Settings Library>>Patches>>UserFunky40 wrote: Wed Oct 22, 2025 2:52 pmit HAS to be possible to save an altered factory preset at same location !IvyBirds wrote: Wed Oct 22, 2025 2:32 pm Maybe I took a factory pad sound from the "Ambient Dreams" section. Maybe I changed the envelope to have a much sharper attack and swapped out the filter, then changed the reverb and added a compressor
Cause: maybe i just adjusted the Reverb slightly and nothing else, no ?
What you´re telling me says: No, you can´t ( as a fact).....but you tell me on the other hand: you can ? No, you can´t. You just made the point yourself
When i change a factory preset sound slightly, just adjustimg the Reverb for example slightly, then is it "for me" (for my brain) still that factory preset and NOT a user preset .
I had the Korg Kronos. There was i able to do that. Readjust something like just the Reverb, Quick SAVE. Donne. That´s what i like. Easy business
"Plugin has turned Drug now"....and the business knows it.

Sorry, if it was already discussed. This thread is growing faster, than I can read. But
Is it normal, that I need to choose libraries and categories again and again after each restart? Why not just "All" is set for both?
Other strange thing: after initialize patch, the filter ENV shows some middle values on attack, decay, sustain and release. Why not A and R short before 0 and S full on, the same as on amp ENV or Omnisphere 2?

I'll need to play around with this.
/snip
This is a great case for the "Attributes" tag
https://support.spectrasonics.net/manua ... ags-page01
And the assignments tag
https://support.spectrasonics.net/manua ... ags-page01
You would create an attribute called "User Tweaked Presets" or whatever
The "attribute" is the folder that you save your user preset in.
If I add "attributes" and "type" during "save preset as" - they don't stay. IOW if you reload the patch and "save as" again - the attribute you just added isn't there any more.
I don't doubt that I'm doing something wrong - I'll play some more tomorrow.

And I think, I found a bug:
When the signal path is set to independent, the global AMP and FIL ENV controls should add an relative offset, to e.g. layer A and B, according to the manual. But if you set same values on them and then change the global ENV value, e.g. Attack they seem to jump on different levels. Often the value of layer B is then set to 0 (randomly?), although it shouldn't according to the offset logic. It seems like pretty random behaviour. Can anybody confirm this or is it a misunderstanding or not-consideration of a side effect on my side?

Did you try "Save as Default Multi" from the main menu?noddog wrote: Wed Oct 22, 2025 9:06 pm Anyone know how to select your MIDI controller as default? It seems like you need to select your MIDI controller again every time you open Omnisphere.

Yes, this works, thanks. It's a little odd that the MIDI controller selection is called a Multi.

Yeah one could consider this odd. In Omnisphere 2, you had to even do this, to make magnification factor persistent.noddog wrote: Wed Oct 22, 2025 9:19 pm Yes, this works, thanks. It's a little odd that the MIDI controller selection is called a Multi.

There is a setting to optionally recall the previous state, but that's all. There's no way to set a permanent default.jbraner wrote: Wed Oct 22, 2025 8:17 pmIt seems to be - unless somebody knows better...Is it normal, that I need to choose libraries and categories again and again after each restart? I think "Multi" is simply referring to the default state of Omni when you open it; i.e., it is set up for multiple parts.
