Waveform Pro: virtual loopback channel shows but does not work

I use an ESI Amber i1 audio interface that can create a virtual loopback channel. They show in Waveform Pro as Loopback channels 3 and 4, I can enable them and use them as input on an audio track, but the signal does not arrive no matter what I do.

It works just fine in Ableton.

Am I missing something?

MacOS Sequoia 15.6.1
Waveform Pro Version 13.5.13 (Built: 2 September 2025)
