Oh yes, THE UPDATE to 7.2.2.1? :D

I'm not going to panic. Sometimes you have to be patient and give the company time. However, this will be a time when I won't be buying any updates.
There have been a lot of concerns about corporations here. I disagree. InMusic is now giving a second life to many things that we had already mentally buried, such as 2gether and Air. You can't lump everyone together.

Definitely! Cubase 14 introduced more "major" features than all the last S1 7.x "major feature drops" combined.
To each their own really. I tried Cubase 14 for a couple of weeks and felt overwhelmed by the possibilities. S1, on the other hand, has stayed pretty streamlined over the years and that's what I like about it. It may not have as many "features" as other major DAWs but it caters to all my needs.
Regardless of the company, you should never invest your money on promises. More often than not, you'll be disappointed. Buy something because you like what it is, not because of what it could become.
Sounds like the same discussion as with Parawave Rapid.

Yeah, I’m not too concerned about Studio One not getting enough “new features.” I’m more concerned about the threat of bloat and getting new features for the sake of it, like the useless Clip Launcher.

Studio One just needs revamped automation that uses part containers that can be moved around and freely re-assigned to different plugins and parameters after they’ve been created. There are a few other quality of life improvements it could use here and there, but nothing big. Just some stuff like single-click expanding of Micro Edit parameters either needs to be able to be disabled, or changed to shift+click to open. The Micro Edit view opening up instead of your plugin GUI when you click on a plugin insert has to be the single most annoying thing in Studio One.

But my biggest concern is that after mucking around with subscription models and quasi-subscription models, Fender still isn’t going to see the profit gains they were hoping for and they just cannibalize Studio One, or even all of PreSonus.

Yes, Studio One has tendency to drop new features incomplete, just for the sake of new features. Over the years those features never get updated again.. :ud:

Still waiting for "tracks in a group to follow automation moves", or option to enable it. "tracks in a group to follow plugin moves, or option enable it" etc.

Also, PreSonus’s proprietary Mix FX don’t work with Studio One’s surround sound.

Guys, I cannot follow, when will be the next update then? Or didn't they give any date here? I find it difficult to "communicate" with this company, support (via webpage system) seems to me a third party which has not so much clue about the actual software and code. There seems to be no email support either.

Do you think a new update will arrive soon, or is it more likely that at this point, only minor fixes will arrive, due to Fender sucking Presonus dry to get the developer resources?

Nobody knows.

Very difficult to say - nobody can take a look to the future. But for me it is sure, that it is actually not the same as it was in the past. And it feels not good for me. Hope I am wrong.

Take a walk and ask them directly:

It's weird that since the last major update in July, we haven'y heard anything from Presonus.

But that's only 3 months, so everything seems to be still normal. I only find the lack of communication a bit annoying though. Why are companies doing that? Maybe because the shareholder now is more important than the actual customer? Or is there a roadmap somewhere, so we know what is actually worked on?
