EDIT: Meaning saving the "All" as default for the Startup Directory

FYI the Omni 2 Startup Directory preference has been removed in Omni 3.legendCNCD wrote: Thu Oct 23, 2025 4:20 pmMeaning saving the "All" as default for the Startup Directory

But you can set it for "last viewed" or something like that - in settings.noiseboyuk wrote: Thu Oct 23, 2025 5:27 pmFYI the Omni 2 Startup Directory preference has been removed in Omni 3.legendCNCD wrote: Thu Oct 23, 2025 4:20 pmMeaning saving the "All" as default for the Startup Directory

legendCNCD wrote: Thu Oct 23, 2025 4:20 pm Was thinking can this not be saved somehow. I have a vague memory that it could, but it does not seem to work:

Other synthesizers have a second slot for a modulator to modify the signal of the source modulator. Serum for instance, has had this for many years. There is no need to make the modulators themselves modulation targets that way. Omnisphere could’ve kept the patches from 2 compatible with 3 by simply not populating that second mod slot.noiseboyuk wrote: Thu Oct 23, 2025 1:24 pmI don't disagree, and it shouldn't (!) be that tricky to implement. Have you put in a feature request?SamDi wrote: Thu Oct 23, 2025 1:19 pmYeah, but it's still better, being able to modulate modulations, instead the modulators amount.
EDIT - actually I can see why it would be slightly tricky - they'd need to address each bank of 12 and each slot from 1-12. Not impossible though - and add target parameter to it as well.
Could be the filters. Check their "advanced view" and check the 'variant' parameter. I had some weird stereo issues while that dial was in the middle.Caine123 wrote: Thu Oct 23, 2025 10:25 pm something is strange, i loaded various projects from Omnisphere 2 with Omnisphere 3 and many sounds were about 30% panned right, not all instances, in Omnisphere 3 itself i couldnt see the PAN Knob changed or something. i need to investigate this, can anyone check it out too? if the old project sounds are correctly panned?
i can check tomorrow again.
Vulture Culture has done a deep dive into the new features, a patch creation video, and is currently doing a series of shorter vids showing his favorite presets in each category.PabloHassan wrote: Thu Oct 23, 2025 7:11 pm Which channel will you recommend for in depth omnisphere 3 synthesis?
Not to learn but to see its capabilities before upgrading.
Gamechanger. A big step up.Alexander_D wrote: Fri Oct 24, 2025 4:32 am So, your thoughts about their FX rack? I mean the quality. I am still on version 2 at this moment
