We get it, you don't like it, you can't afford it. Move on.

I know that besides hating ladder filters you're a big fan of unison, so I'm curious what you find this particular 2 OSC synth excels at?BONES wrote: Tue Oct 21, 2025 10:35 pm Just to reiterate and expand, Proxima is easily my favourite and most used Synapse synth. As I said, it's been in beta for ages so I've had a lot of time to play with it. It got a name change a couple of months ago, and it really surprised me how many songs I had to go and swap it into. It has found its way into 20 or more of our songs and features prominently on our new album, which will be out next month. It's really easy to use, the sweet spots are plentiful and very wide and the sound is absolutely huge.
I just swapped the demo in on a track and noticed that as a simple bass it does seem to occupy the lower frequencies and sound crisp/defined with the filter cutting the highs out, which is nice in terms of leaving space for other instruments without leaving the bass sounding soft.
Wouldn't at this price point it make more sense to release a more expanded version of the original synth, with optional 3rd oscillator/sub osc etc.?
Every day takes figuring out all over again how to f#ckin’ live.

Good idea actually. They could tab it in the Noise section, like they have with the Amp/Mod Envchagzuki wrote: Thu Oct 23, 2025 3:26 pm

First impressions demo'ing this are good... sounds really nice, easy to use, very easy to come up with good sounds quickly. Quite a forward, present sound.
Can see what others have said about the 20 minute demo limitation- finding that a little annoying, but I guess thats the idea.
Also wish there was some way of globally disabling FX.
Definitely going to demo some more

Demo doesn't load in Bitwig for me. Loads in Ableton Live.
