Is it possible to change presets this way...

So, I'm curious. Is it possible to change the same preset for the same synth on multiple tracks at one time?
I've been working on sound design and would like to render out a sample set of my new presets for each track containing a midi file with a single note, ranging from key from C# 2 - C6 for instance. This way I have a nice neat folder of samples in clean orderly fashion for use in Decent sampler (or any other for that matter). However, changing the preset on 46 instances of a synth, one by one, like Vital is time consuming. It would be a great help to change them all at once.
I have no clue where to begin, so thanks for any help.

It sounds like creating and using a macro could be the way to go, but I haven't looked into macros for years.
[W10-64, T5/6/7/W8/9/10/11/12/13, 32(to W8)&64 all, Spike],[W7-32, T5/6/7/W8, Gina16] everything underused.

Thanks for the answer. I couldn't get my head around the macro and get it working.jabe wrote: Tue Oct 28, 2025 9:07 pm It sounds like creating and using a macro could be the way to go, but I haven't looked into macros for years.
I did however stumble into a "wrapper" that allowed me to send a single synth to 60+ tracks. I have a single note per track and can now render a sample for each track, each note in seconds. Also, I can change the synth preset in the rack and HOORAH!...it changes the entire rack.
I was changing the preset on all 60 tracks, one by one until now and my poor PC was choking on it all
***Problem Solved***
I can speedily create sample sets to use for the future.

Excellent! I have to admit that it took me a while to understand exactly what you were aiming to do, but once I'd got it, there always seemed to be something in each method that would slow the job to a crawl.

And this new fangled, techno stuff is fer young'ns. I hardly knew how to phrase the question in a way that made sense. So, it wasn't you, it was me. /insert old man shaking cane emoji.
