Not sure I understand how this is a Spectrasonics issue.

It's 2025 and this is a digital product that uses the most ubiquitous, world wide, bloody "granddaddy of all granddaddy" payment systems - and you have an issue with them choosing this one?

Sorry but it is on you to ensure you can make the purchase - not anyone elses.

Can you point me to any SW vendor which sells their product directly on their pages and does not offer credit card/google pay/... options and has only PayPal? Maybe some small preset packs developers... I've created and used my PayPal account many years ago, then I forget on it, moved to another country, changed phone number of course and now I can't even login to this. Support is non existent, ... And in Europe PayPal is not mainstream payment method at all. I'm using credit card, Google pay... why these are not offered as method? And then that strange dealer stuff... Of course listed dealer in my area does not sell anything from Spectrasonics for quite some time....

I would like to buy it, but I can't! I'm from Europe. I have an old Paypal account which I have not used for years and in the meantime I've moved to another country and of course I did not think to change my phone number on my account. The old number is not active, so I can't login to Paypal and can't create new... There is no dealer around selling boxed version... I really don't understand their business model. You must have an active and accessible Paypal account or dealer, otherwise you our out... So much money and effort spent on development, but they cannot or are reluctant to afford "normal" payment system with different payment options, which even a garage developers have. How many potential customers are they loosing?

have you contacted spectrasonics? see if there are any options? and are there no online dealers? am sure there's a way to work that out...

Having a 4 unit limitation in a single FX rack in 2025 is just silly.

I don't see this as a problem at all. First of all, I don't see myself ever using more than four Omni plugins in consecutive series ever because, like most people who make music, I have a long list of go-to plugins that are not going to be replaced by Omnisphere's effects. The FX rack is just icing on the cake AFAIC and I'm struggling to think of an actual use scenario where I'd actually want more than four in series. Spectrasonics is not advertising the FX rack as your new go-to mixing suite and I highly doubt anybody is buying it for that purpose. Second, if people want more than four, just add another rack - how hard is that?

People that are used to the endless extensibility of Serum2/Current/Phaseplant/etc's will find this insufficient. That said, I have a different take on it. You can actually wire more FX in series and parallel via the aux's and mixer, but now you're dealing with FX in multiple places. So in reality it's less of an actual limitation than a usability issue.

I do like the fact that the reverb FXs are pre-wired into the Ambiance control on the main panel. That was a nice touch.

If you go through this forum, forum on KVR, ... there are a lot of people from Europe who used their credit card option before it suddenly disappeared. They did not receive license keys and download option, but money were taken from their cards, ... talks with support, banks ... Because of that, I was waiting if they would fix it, but they have just removed it.

Spectrasonics is based in Burbank, California and most likely has VERY specific reasons that you are not being offered credit card payment options. They control who can purchase and who cannot.

No business wants to run any risk with a foreign country when it comes to cc fraud or whatever else is holding this back.

Outside of contacting them directly - and talking it out over the phone - seems you do not have a lot of options.

Why can't you simply just create a new PP acct?

I will not go through that just because Omnisphere. I really don't need it sooo much. I have many other plugins...
I've written them, if they have a plan to add other payment methods ... will see ...

Have you tried all the "forgot my password" links etc?

Direct call PayPal support is within working hours on only US number. But I don't even know how to manage it with them just by the phone and not through video call where I can show id, ... I have tried "forgot password" - 3 options - message on the phone, call on the same phone or answer questions where I don't remember what I've entered there 17 years ago... but this is what it is ... will see. I've sent email to Spectrasonics, if it is maybe a temporary problem or what is the reason. I'm not the only one....
