It can be dependent on the country you are based in. I've seen lots of filtering going on between countries, and sometimes the company that handles the payments for you don't tell you about stuff like that.Vocalpoint Studios wrote: Wed Oct 29, 2025 8:31 pm Exactly how many more credit card options do you need?

Maybe for version 3.1 Eric can refresh the browser to include a Creditcard Processing Service
Because that's what people really want, a new browser and credit card processing that's not Paypal

Of course it is. But Spectra decides where they will do business AND what the payment methods will be offered.DrGonzo wrote: Thu Oct 30, 2025 3:45 amIt can be dependent on the country you are based in. If your country gets left out - again - there is probably a VERY good reason why.

No - that's not what I meant. I meant that if Spectrasonics is using an outsourced payment service. If they run it in-house it's a different matter though, then they have full control. Otherwise weird things can happen. All I am saying don't be so quick to put the blame on Spectra. It is their responsibility but they might be as flabbergasted as you are.Vocalpoint Studios wrote: Thu Oct 30, 2025 11:42 amOf course it is. Maybe 6-7 years ago I ran my web from a very well-known provider. One day they blocked all traffic from Russia and neighbouring countries, without informing anyone about it. This sh-t is happening all the time unless you run everything in-house.

I - was not blaming Spectra. Others - who live in countries NOT offered payment services - were making a huge deal out this and blaming Spectra.DrGonzo wrote: Thu Oct 30, 2025 1:06 pm All I am saying don't be so quick to put the blame on Spectra. But without knowing what or who Spectra uses for transaction processing - the fact remains that some folks do not seem to understand how the world works and that where ever you live - does not guarantee access to every payment method on the planet.
Folks need to think in these terms first before getting all weird on any vendor. And let's be frank here - this is a synth. Not a reason to boil over becuase you can't buy it.
Pretty sure some users will survive even if they cannot buy Omnisphere 3.

Wishlist for the next Omnisphere 3 update:
- Expand the amount of effects on the FX rack to 8, (or more!) both for the dedicated FX plugin and Omnisphere itself.
- More Classic Digital presets (Love me some of those classic rompler sounds)
- Expanded mutate parameters, for even more fine tuning.

Each of the 8 Parts in Omnisphere has six Racks – one for each of the four Layers, an AUX Rack, and a common Rack for the entire patch. Additionally, at the Multi level, 5 Racks are shared by all Parts (4 AUX Racks and a MASTER Rack). This totals to 53 FX Racks in a single Omnisphere instance! A MULTI can have up to 20 FX Units loaded in the MULTI FX Racks, plus 8 Parts containing up to 24 FX Units each. This means a fully loaded MULTI can have as many as 212 active FX Units if all 53 Racks are loaded at once.HydrogenHuman wrote: Thu Oct 30, 2025 8:09 pm Wishlist for the next Omnisphere 3 update:

How many more effects do you want/need beyond 212
And even if you are running just 212 good luck having a computer that can run all 212 active effects units at the same time

That actually sounds like a fun experiment, to completely max out OmnisphereIvyBirds wrote: Thu Oct 30, 2025 8:53 pm good luck having a computer that can run all 212 active effects units at the same time

I’m still tempted to upgrade for the classic digital sound pack, but then Korg Collection 6 is only 40 bucks more with my cross grade - feels like better value, since I’m not in the US to get a discounted v3 box

On my wish list for Omnisphere 3 is a polyphonic arp/seq like the one in Serum 2. Omnisphere 3's manual still touts its arp/seq as "next-generation", but it's no longer that. It's limited to 32 steps (Serum's number of steps appears endless, avoiding cheesy repetition of short riffs), and it doesn't provide a handy piano roll for polyphonic sequencing with syncopation between lines, the way Serum 2 does (and as does Nexus 5). Serum 2 also allows for multiple "clips" of sequences triggered (on/off) by different notes on a daw's piano roll for extra interest. It's quite remarkable, and I hope Omnisphere 3's developers will consider taking this route.

Don't you have a DAW that has a sequencer that's significantly better than any you will ever find inside of any plugin?buffalo roam wrote: Fri Oct 31, 2025 7:11 pm On my wish list for Omnisphere 3 is a polyphonic arp/seq like the one in Serum 2. No. I think it's a different animal when it comes to rhythm-making, including gating, with multiple lines of music. And the sequencer offers greater convenience and complexity for creating presets.IvyBirds wrote: Fri Oct 31, 2025 7:24 pmDon't you have a DAW that has a sequencer that's significantly better than any you will ever find inside of any plugin?buffalo roam wrote: Fri Oct 31, 2025 7:11 pm On my wish list for Omnisphere 3 is a polyphonic arp/seq like the one in Serum 2. Just got my hands on Omnisphere 3 and I'm hugely impressed by the new libraries. Appreciate being able to find things much more easily, but the presets are also a big step up and more usable — in particular the club/electronica orientated sets are much better than Omni 2. The effects rack is the icing on the cake!
