God, I love Bitwig Studio. Thank you xbitz.

Steinberg shamelessly copied Bitwig's LFO system.

I say: copy more in between DAWs. The more alike these fundamentals are, the more likely they can be included in a universal exchange format and projects can just be worked on in another DAW. Also, the more familiar a system is, the easier it is for a user to switch between DAWs.

Just let Bitwig have Max/MSP (or equivalent) in the Grid or whatever, and a nice way to visually define/set/see keyswitches like expression/sound maps in other DAWs, and it will replace everything else I have. Sure, there would be other small things I'd like, but those two things would be enough to make it my only DAW.

Also, pay xbitz to make a comprehensive guide to all things Bitwig. So many awesome solutions are found here.

Gorgeous theme - thank you!

Is the horizontal gradient shading between looped clips customizable? For some reason that just really bugs me...

Excellent themes, thank you. I am wondering, with editing themes, is it possible to have a lighter arrangement, like in previous versions of Bitwig, before V6?
I do like new look of V6, but I'm missing light color of arrangement area.

Yes, and to me, this means I will start using Cubase more often as my secondary platform, besides Bitwig. I'm especially thinking about the fact that Cubase too, now supports the DAW Project protocol for moving projects between DAW apps.

What I miss in Bitwig is being able to address more than 512 ports. A limitation Cubase doesn't have. This is essential if you want to do live orchestration of big orchestral music, utilizing DivisiMate. But our BWS future looks bright in this regard, because I suggested a wish for "a device that detects every note's position inside a chord and splits the MIDI chord into several outputs for musically driving an ensemble setup of instrument tracks", and it was well received. So hopefully we will be able to do this all within Bitwig some day. :-)
