I did something similar, I paid 561 sek to update from 13 to 14 last August but didn't use it until 15 was out. I'm also planing to wail till 18, but I will see how 17 looks like. I will not update to 16 that is almost sure.

It's like that Bartek guy on Youtube who looks like he is on ecstasy when he's playing a new synth, and I just want to say Dude... it's just a sawtooth with an LFO. Not meant to bash on Bartek - he always make me smile.

Yeah he makes me smile, regardless. His marketing style is actually one I can tolerate, which is extremely, extremely rare for me. He is just a happy person!

Is there an easy way in Cubase to apply an effect to only part of the frequency spectrum? I think that is something that would be cool to see in a future version (I think I've heard people say this is really easy in Bitwig?). This was a regular part of my flow when I used Reason many years ago, but I don't do it as often in Cubase- usually using a bunch of sends/extra channels and filters. I feel like there's probably a more intuitive way already, but it would be cool to have something built into the interface to do this easily, or an insert that could split the frequency and load other plugins (I know Waves had a plugin like this, but every time they updated it, it got worse).

filter bank of the FX Modulator https://www.steinberg.help/r/cubase-pro ... tor_r.html knows it

Nice one, thanks! But just to clarify, this is only for the effects available within the FX modulator, right? I would love something that would let me do this with any effect plugin.xbitz wrote: Fri Nov 14, 2025 8:12 pmfilter bank of the FX Modulator https://www.steinberg.help/r/cubase-pro ... tor_r.html knows it

I just think this would be a great feature to add natively to the DAW, for workflow purposes especially. Lots of talk about how Cubase is so huge and there's not really much more for them to add to it, and I agree to an extent, but this is one thing I think would be useful and appreciated by a huge part of a very varied user base.

i love cubase so much - but midi expression sucks compared to MPE especially for pitch bending per note. The lack of an ability to control what note your gliding to in midi expression is so annoying. really considering a move to BW soon.
Honestly 15 has been really good overall but this feature to me seems to give me a lot more control of my productions without nearly as much headache. I use midi expressions a lot in cubase and I'm just so tired of it when I go into bitwig and its so fricken easy.

I think with this release theyforgot the FOMO by not bundling it with a bunch of third party VSTs.DMG68 wrote: Sun Nov 09, 2025 12:51 pm Steinberg are basing their strategy on FOMO, and it’ll probably benefit them, it’s human nature.
If they had done that, I might have upgraded already, but as such, there is nothing here that I really need, (it seems like a .5 release at best). So I will wait for the summer sale and upgrade then.

Yeah, the most buggiest software I've ever had. I even lost the track on how many bugs and quality issues it has. It cannot even render in place correctly. And Cubase support is non-existent.

waves studioverse and i believe its free iirc has both multiband split and parallel split. can set each split up as mid, side, left, and right channels in addition.concealed identity wrote: Fri Nov 14, 2025 11:27 am Is there an easy way in Cubase to apply an effect to only part of the frequency spectrum?
