Then it wouldn't be MDE-X. That chip had a specific set of algorithms, the plugin models exactly that and nothing else.

OK I didn't realise it was an actual emulation itself - thought it was just a bundle of the FX they had at the timeEvilDragon wrote: Thu Nov 13, 2025 2:54 pm Then it wouldn't be MDE-X. That chip had a specific set of algorithms, the plugin models exactly that and nothing else.
In that case it would be great to be able to use the new FX as an FX plugin - in particular the Small Stone emu is excellent - I guess I can use the ARP FX version for this but it would be nice just to have dedicated FX rack too

Regards novaday mad cpu eating - one possible silver lining to this trend for me is that bouncing (despite being forced) can be a quite creative approach though.

Please take a look at this Opsix thread: viewtopic.php?t=622539
The support team doesn't seem to be responding.
Luiz from KORG Japan here.
Sorry for the delay, we had an "agitated" week with the KC6 release.
It seems that your support ticket is under care now,
and I will check the opsix thread you sent as well.

New weapons have been added, which makes me a bit excited. I'm considering whether to purchase them.

Thank you for your efforts. I can confirm that the ticket is being worked on. A culprit has already been identified. I hope the problem can be solved soon.

Nice to see that Korg Japan finally represents itself after so long time and the flood of user complaints about the Opsix Native, nice move!mi-os wrote: Fri Nov 14, 2025 12:05 pmHi Luiz,LuizAtKorg wrote: Fri Nov 14, 2025 12:56 amHi @mi-osmi-os wrote: Tue Nov 04, 2025 12:50 am

Thanks. I wonder what's going on. No problems with it in any other DAW. In Studio One, it just... doesn't load. Nothing happens. No tracks get created.

It works for me on Windows Studio One. It doesn't on Mac Studio One. It works for me in every other DAW on Mac, as well. Just not Studio One. I haven't seen anything like it before. I would expect the DAW to put up an error dialog or to crash or something, not simply do nothing.
You were definitely using the VST3 version, right? Not the AU?

Sorry, my bad. I should have made it clear I was only asking about the Mac version.
edit: bug report filed with Korg support.

Keep in mind most of the new synths are not compatible with Radeon cards. Getting tons of atio6axx.dll crashes on Cubase 15 using the PS-3300, Arp 2600 etc.
Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care
