If not... what´s then?
Will they offer a "free" version?? at least free of the current C/R system?
That has been the salient point in the whole "lack of communication" complaints.

Yes Rapid works here without bugs or issues and has for quite some time and I've said it many times before I don't really need it to get any more feature updates, it's great synth now.

But I just would like to know what the developer's plans are if they decide to close up shop. Will we still be able to authorize Rapid into the future?

This is a question that they steadfastly refuse to answer so one can not be faulted for having some concern over the issue.

A company that would send the following meme to a paying customer does not give one the warmest and fuzziest of feelings about the people behind that company:

Anyway I'll repost this from before all the noise started:

So the new features do exist and I assume a Black Friday visit is coming or at least we can hope.
I spent some time with Rapid yesterday and it really is an awesome synth which is why I'm concerned about its long term viability. I'd rather not lose it for whatever reason so we'll see what the future holds.

Hopefully we should know something one way or the other in the next ten days.

You invalidate others. Thats not my or other people problem. Its you, you are the problem.
You're not even making sense now. That is definitely a "you problem". I'm sorry you got triggered by someone posting an opinion that you either don't agree with or don't understand (or both).

But hey that's not going to stop me from giving my opinions so you'd better just block me to save you from any further emotional distress.
Ofcourse to you it doesnt make sense because you are not aware of other people in this community. You are just aware of yourself (like a toddler btw, because they have a very self-aware feeling).

No, its your problem. As people do agree with what im saying about you. To be honest you are that one person who cause a distress in the community. I think you should be banned.

I'm perfectly well aware of other people in the community, newbie. I've been a contributing member here for almost 25 years.

The only "distress" is caused by your gossamer thin skin. If you get triggered by other people's opinions then the internet is not a place you should be visiting.

If you think someone should be banned just because they have strong opinions that you dislike then that is 100% a you problem and one you really need to work on fixing.

I invite the Mods to read our exchanges in this thread and see who the real aggressor has been.

Ok I'm going to block you now and I ask you to do the same for me. I won't read or respond to any more of your posts.

You really dont understand the difference between strong opinion and invalidating others. People who have strong opinions usually dont deny others expieriences like you do. You sort of gaslight (but not entirely) others.

So I've been spending some more time with Rapid this morning and it really is an awesome sounding synth that certainly deserves much more attention.

It's possible the problem may be that some people think that since it has layers it's just a "one finger preset machine" or others see that it has multi-sample import and think "it's just a rompler" but nothing could be further from the truth.

One way to look at Rapid is that it's eight three oscillator synths in one package. It's capable of some very lush analog style patches and deep evolving atmospheres and so much more beyond.

Here's 25 patches that I think at least somewhat illustrate Rapid's modern analog capabilities. It's a synth that I do love a great deal.

One thing about owning Rapid, you need to prepare to be patient. They will never likely hype anything.
They don't feed off that energy nor apply it.

They're great at just dropping the releases when they're ready.

I think many forget that it's not just a synth, but an effects machine as well. Not just an effects machine for built in functions, but one for your own VSTs.

Still one of my favorite synths. Reminds me of Dune 3 a lot with the 8 layer system. I find it to be very easy visually to navigate. Its probably the only synth in my collection where i think anything is possible and easy to achieve.

I may have posted this in the past here, but here is a bunch of presets i did for it in the chillwave, synthpop, ambient kind of style a while back. Free if you want them.

These presets sound great, well done!
