Hi, How about adding an appreggator to EVE? There are lots of sounds that would sound excellent running through an arp!

Or maybe even a trance gate?tonalaxis wrote:Hi, How about adding an appreggator to EVE? There are lots of sounds that would sound excellent running through an arp!

well, honestly I don't see EVE much with those features, <grin>
but anyway I'll think about that as I'll be working on EVE 2 soon after DK+ release
thanks

OK Liqih,
You are probably right, but how about a separate plugin that you can chain to all your wonderful synths that has an appregator and trancegate? I think that would work very well especially with alot of the pads and synth patches from EVE and the excellent Astrobelt

Thats good to hear! I love EVE but it could use some more features. I've been trying not to get tempted by a certain other synth that shall remain nameless (starts with a Wliqih wrote: I'll be working on EVE 2 soon after DK+ release

thanks for the praise tonalaxis, <grin>tonalaxis wrote:OK Liqih,

but if you wish such MIDI plugins you should stress TobyBear to make his MiniHost as plugin!
it got both cool arpeggiator and MIDI gate,
or you may have the famous energyXT, no?
Anyway I made a kind of trancegate as audio effect
with filters too, maybe I'll release that one day, <wink>

thanks for your patience mate, <grin>AD80 wrote:Thats good to hear! I love EVE but it could use some more features. But its hard waiting for filters etc. I know you have a lot on your plate, especially if you start porting stuff to OSX. But hopefully you find time for EVE soon.
EVE filter module will be my priority after DK+

HI
A more manageable sized GUI?
It is a bit on the large size, you could always have a second page view for less important features?
Otherwise more of the same, wider variety of filters perhaps?
Porpoise.

i would like to see a lot of the stuff from eve one on eve2. for example, twin envelopes, variable filters, sound wizards with user wizard presets allowed etc.
i'd also like to see a "modular" approach to the effects. in eve one they even look like detachable modules !
also i like the sync-able lfos, but in eve one they are too weak and a bit messy. i'd like the same idea in eve2 but with more grunt and different waveforms.
one other good point about lfos - very often synths stick to a very limited middle range in lfo frequency. this is bad. a very slow lfo is great for giant pads, and a extremely fast lfo can make some interesting detuned effects.
finally, how about some sort of more complex relationship between the three oscillators ?
by that, think retro synths. the really good ones didn't just have filters and envelopes, they had cross-modulation and harmonic options.
how about enabling a very nasty cross-modulation routing between sound banks ? depending on the soundsets and routing you could get some really interesting things going.
so, i say:
- top quality filters
- modular effects
- better lfo options and extreme lfo speeds
- cross-modulation between oscillators
i think these features would really expand eve2 in the retro/pad/ambient fields where i think it has found a great niche.

cool! just yesterday I was thinking of asking here again about the possible EVE 2 features,
there are so many directions we could take since EVE right now is a quite complete VSTi
as for its design was: "vintage keyboards stacker", and I stress *keyboards*, not *synths*,
the synths samples were added to the Library as options but the core of EVE
is always meant to be EPs, organs, combo keyboards (Solina, Mellotron)
so no VCFs, only envelope, tremelo, vibrato, pan, vintage audio effects.
So now going for EVE 2 many of you asked for controlled filters, but honestly I don't like that
very much, just another boring VA sample based synth?, <wink>
here are my thoughts so far about EVE 2,
replying to Cabinfever list,
- top quality filters
quality yes, but no VCFs (LP/HP, rezo, ADSR stuff)
- modular effects
yes, at least the 2 slots
- better lfo options and extreme lfo speeds
yes, great idea, BTW do you use the LFO Masters?,
thinking to remove that section to make space
- cross-modulation between oscillators
ah!, here is where I thought the most, I already thought about some
way of morphing between the OSCs.
Moreover, some Additive features could be nice, but could rise CPUs usage too much,
well, let's hear You again
