Well, tbh, I cannot remember, if my changes got implemented in the official releases. Unfortunately I am extremely short on time right now. I would update the products, if I were you, and see if the device still need the Studio 2018 samples. Hopefully not.

Sorry for any inconvenience! I put it on my todo still. Maybe I can find time and check!

I just tested and it works without "Studio2008-2018". Not sure, if it's some caching thing or if I have installed an older version of my device from back then, but I do remember removing the dependency and choosing samples from the smaller factory content, as mentioned in this post here (some messages above):

I do not have Studio2008-2018 installed right now and do not get a missing file error. I did update all the plugins to 17.06.

It doesn't here. 17.06 as well. I had to download the 20GB and keep the folder "2018/Shaman" to stop the missing sample messages...

Maybe the MSF Device is old on your end. Try to remove it and install the device new. I know that I removed the dependency from the Shaman instrument ...

Ok, I just removed MSoundFactory Essentials, MDrummer Essentials and Studio 2008-2018 Add Ons.
Also, removed and reinstalled MSoundFactory.
Then redownloaded and installed MSoundFactory Essentials + MDrummer Essentials.
Cinematic Braams still complains about missing files on Samples/MDrummer/2018/Shaman.
And, the new feature in MPluginanager pops up a panel that says that MDrummer 2008-2018 is needed...
I'll reinstall this and remove everything excluded the Shaman folder.

This also matches with what Melda support has replied.
I don't really know how it can work to you...

Hm, weird, indeed. I am also clueless why it works for me. I also looked into the device and I could not find dependencies there, which lead to the Shaman instrument.

Maybe my changes got reverted by accident or not included in the first place? @melda??

Final test.

- Reinstalled the Studio 2018 add-on - no longer errors
- Copied away the MDrummer/Multisamples/Studio 2018/Shaman subfolder
- Uninstalled Studio 2018 add on - error again
- Copied back the Shaman subfolder only - no error

Whatever reason, it seems the official release Cinematic Braams still requires that folder (only)
