MXXX in MSoundFactory

As far as I can remember MXXX (and all the effects that come with it) was selectable as a module in MSoundFactory in the past. Now I cannot find all those in MSoundFactory anymore. Was the product scope reshaped? (I have the complete bundle, so I also have MXXX separately, just wondering why it isn't appearing anymore withing MSF).
Here the modules I see within MXXX: And here MSF: Has this changed or does my memory play tricks on me?
Edit: MXXX is in the FX section not under Generators, see below.

As far as I now MXXX has not been in generator section, because the generator section does not allow all plugins: like MUnison, MRotary, MCabinet, MSpectralDynamics and others...
However, you can copy a MXXX preset and paste it to Modular modules (like Modular2In2Ex, etc) and it will be "translated" to something similar (if not equal).

Ok, I'm stupid. MXXX and all the other fx plugins are still there in MSF. Just not under "Generators" but under "FX". Sorry for the confusion, wrong tab

Ok, did some experiments, think I understand now what is going on:
In MSoundFactory:
* The Generator section is per voice. So when you put e.g. an Oscillator module into the Generator then there are technically 16 oscillators that can be played polyphonically
* Everything that is placed in FX is only existing once, FX works on the mix from the Generator section. (As explained in the manual...) But e.g. PowerSynth is voice-per-channel capable by itself. So one instance of PowerSynth in the FX section can be played polyphonically. Which also explains why it isn't in the Generator section, because then one would have 16 copies of an already per-voice capable synth.
In MXXX:
* This behaves exactly like the FX section of MSF with an added audio in from external (in MSF the FX section can only process what the Generator section produced, no external audio). So only one copy of each module in the matrix is created. That means, when putting an Oscillator into MXXX then it is only monophonic. Putting a PowerSynth instance into MXXX is still polyphonic as PowerSynth is inherently polyphonic.
So my initial mental model MXXX = MSoundFactory + Audio in was wrong. MXXX is not just an extended version of MSoundFactory as its main matrix does not create polyphonic instruments out of modules that aren't inherently polyphonic already (like oscillators, filters etc.). Of course one can still use the mono-modules polyphonically by wrapping them in an MSF-Generator section as MXXX contains MSF as a module. So while MXXX might strictly not be an extended version of MSF, it contains MSF, so in case one needs the specific MSF behavior (or wants to use the MSF presets) one can use that module.
MSF on the other hand cannot be used as replacement for MXXX as it has no audio in.
Perhaps this could be made clearer by renaming "Generator" in MSF to "Per Voice" (as the modules there are not only generators, there are also some fx that can be instantiated per voice). And "FX" to "Global modules" to make it clear that those are not per voice and not necessarily all FX but working on the mix of the per voice section (and/or midi in).

interesting read, thanks for sharing.
what I also noticed is that the plugin MSpectralDynamics is not selectable in the FX section of MSoundFactory.
You have to load an MXXX and in there you could select MSpectralDynamics.
