Then I'll make you the same offer. :hihi:

But seriously in this day and age of so many scams, con jobs, lies, and fakery urging caution is certainly not an unseasonable reaction.

I've never done business with Pro Star so I'd certainly use caution especially when I read this: "DOWNLOAD CODE SENT IN 1-2 BUSINESS DAYS".

I don't really want the V Collection but I also really don't want anyone to get ripped off so I still urge caution in every decision and action in these times.

VitaminD wrote: Wed Nov 26, 2025 2:35 pm Well their V8 key worked great for me and I've gone on to upgrade it. Then used that as a springboard to get the FX collection at a reduced price. No complaints from me of proaudiostar
This v8 isnt a new offer. It's been around a long while. If arturia had an issue with it, they have had over a year to rectify it.
What's new is the X key at discount now. But if v8 works (and it did for me) there is no reason to be skeptical of X.
Ok I'll tell you what. You buy it and send me the license. If it works I'll pay you $120. If it doesn't work then you owe me $20?

Fair enough? Trust me Bro.........
I already bought v8 from them and it worked fine. I then upgraded to X off the arturia site. Then, the following year, I removed the v8 key from my account and resold it. Later I got v11.

I can only provide evidence based on my own experience with the process. But it is at least first hand experience. :violin:

I would urge caution with any online order yes. But it obviously wasn't a scam for the many of us on kvr that purchased without issue..

Convince me this isn't the best plugin deal going?!?
V collection X for $99 is $2.53 per synth, not counting the sound packs you get. You probably won't use all of them, but there's a lot of value there. I like having the options.

milesdeem wrote: Wed Nov 26, 2025 12:39 am Sweetwater has the D16 Lush-2 for only $49 until 12/1, which is one hell of a deal... pretty tempted but after carefully thinking about it, I think I actually want to get the TAL Bassline 101 for its simplicity compared to the Lush-2 - as well as being more accurate to the SH101

https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail ... ynthesizer
The Softube one is on par with the TAL one (I think the TAL one is slightly better due to some extra features actually), but it goes on sale for much cheaper. If price is a concern, it might be worth looking at that one since the sound is pretty much 1:1 imo.

I agree with you about Lush, it sounds quite different from the other two, and the multiple voices are kind of cumbersome to program. I still think it's very good, it just might not scratch that SH-101 itch, and there are probably better similar polysynths (e.g. Juno or Jupiter) with that sound.
Thanks for the suggestion, I will check out Softube's version also. Not a fan of their activation process but I already use a couple of their plugins so not a dealbreaker. I also have TAL Sampler, so with the new loyalty discount+current BF deal, their 101 is $50 right now.

I was initially excited to see the Sweetwater deal for the Lush2 since I think D16 makes great stuff and it looked very cool but decided to demo the TAL 101 first. Started with the init patch and quickly designed a simple sound I loved and was already inspired by. Realized this might be my perfect synth actually, in the simple format.

Sorry sir, but with all due respect, you're talking baloney here. These are legit offers, Proaudiostar have been doing this for ages.

Overloud 5 GEM bundle seems to be priced significantly higher than everywhere else. Just FYI.
Thanks! This is now fixed:

Aloysius wrote: Wed Nov 26, 2025 2:21 pm Why did you have to mention Softube? I didn't think much of the Model 77 when it came out but today I found a video that really impressed me. I can get it for Total: €33.15 during the sale period.
Is that with the 25% newsletter discount?

btw, I just bought it, as well. Model 72 is the only one I don't own now. If they're smart, they'll put the Modular on sale for Cyber Monday.

Try emailing them and telling them you forgot to use your newsletter subscriber coupon. Maybe they'll refund you the difference.

Thanks E. I'll do that.

You might want to see what Softube does for Cyber Monday. I wouldn't be surprised if they bring the $20 Model 82 deal back.

Urging people to exercise caution when dealing with any vendor especially one that they haven't done business with before is not "talking baloney" it's just common sense.

Here's what A.I. has to say about ProAudioStar:

"ProAudioStar customer complaints frequently center on poor customer service, lack of communication, and issues with order fulfillment, with many customers reporting difficulty reaching staff, rude service, and unaddressed issues like incorrect items or delayed shipments. Other complaints mention problems with the condition of used or "open box" items. One complaint on the Better Business Bureau website details a dispute over an "adjustment fee" that was not clearly documented in the return policy. Lack of accreditation: ProAudioStar is not a BBB Accredited Business, which may be a point of concern for some consumers, according to the Better Business Bureau".

So I'll say it one more time, use caution when dealing with ProAudioStar or any vendor. Use your own best judgement and don't let the fanbois cause you to drop your guard. I'm not saying don't buy from any vendor just do so with your wits about you.

My saying in these times is "Believe Nothing. Trust No One".

I'll say no more on the subject because god forbid that I should show any concern for my fellow members of KVR.

@Teksonik, sorry, you've lost me at "Here's what A.I. has to say" You preferred to believe it and not the several real people who shared their factual knowledge with you based on real-life experience, just for the sake of repeating yourself. Yep, we are not going further here. We'll use caution, thank you.
