Not really, it can in the sense that all synths can do certain sounds, but "it" sounds unique due to the specific design.

What?
How can a full fledge hardware synth released in 2020 could sound like an old plugin wrote in 2000?

One thing no one seems to mention here, NI 50% sale ends in three days, Abysnth 6 debutes in 10 days. So I'm less likely to upgrade Komplete 15 when it doesn't include their update. It would be a complete no brainer if Abaysnth 6 was included. For me like an old timey days upgrade where two major NI plugins (Kontakt 8 and Abysnth 6) get updated in a single Komplete upgrade. As it stands I'm assuming those of us on 14 will have to wait until June to get Komplete 16 with Absynth 6 and Kontakt 8, or upgrade outside of Komplete.

You never know. NI has released the Next Komplete a few times right after black friday sales. Like immediately after. I'd be surprised to see Absynth released independently of Komplete 16, but yeah might happen. I'll probably just play with the demo and wait for Komplete 16 in that case.machinesworking wrote: Fri Nov 28, 2025 6:25 pm One thing no one seems to mention here, NI 50% sale ends in three days, Abysnth 6 debutes in 10 days. That's great thanks EvilDragon, I'll send them an email now, hopefully something good will come from itEvilDragon wrote: Fri Nov 28, 2025 4:38 pmContact NI support and let them know what the old e-mail was, they can likely join old and new NI accounts (assuming you have a new one).Dazd_N_Confuzd wrote: Fri Nov 28, 2025 12:51 pm So let's say someone bought Abysynth 4 back in 2008 or so but the email that they used back then is defunct and they have no way of getting into their original NI account. Any way said person could take advantage of upgrade pricing? Asking for a friend.![]()

No, which is why you sometimes see a bunch of NI stuff for sale when Komplete is released.pchase wrote: Fri Nov 28, 2025 6:32 pm If you buy individual things separately that get included in the next Komplete, does that give you an discount on your Komplete upgrade price?
I much prefer when they released stuff I actually want at the same time as the next Komplete iteration. Generally hasn't been an issue the last few years as they've hardly released any meaningful product upgrades or new stuff, it's all sample packs in between Kompletes that I don't really care about, but which are kind of nice to check out once you finally splurge for a komplete upgrade.
