Big Update: Version 4.0 of 1973, CMX, and Event Horizon is Live!
I’m excited to finally release major new updates to three of my most-loved plugins: 1973, CMX, and Event Horizon. Version 4.0 brings them fully into the modern era while preserving the sound and workflow that engineers rely on.

I must have missed it, what was leaked?Uncle E wrote: Sun Nov 30, 2025 8:44 pm
If anyone is interested in the new Universal Audio product that was leaked, you're going to want to register one of these Showtime licenses.
I did register the Showtime amp from the freebie list which I think is still available for others that might be interested.

Use code BFPICK1FREE
[Edit] I think I found the new product - Paradise amp sim. The free amp gives me a $20 loyalty discount. Looks nice, but I have a number of amp sims already and Primo is pretty much all I've been using lately.

Sorry, I was wrong about this! You can upgrade from the other amps directly on their website. Sorry for my mistake!Choikdoi wrote: Sun Nov 30, 2025 11:03 pm Do you know if their other amps will count something towards it too?

I checked out the new UAD Paradise Guitar Studio. Baseline is $149, but was an upgrade for me at $79. I do own all of their other recent amps (not the old BX ones that they've added). Gonna give it a day to cool off from impulse buy, then check it out further.

EDIT: Ah, I just realized what this actually is. Took a quick look at the vid onsite. They're integrating their previous amps and effects that they've already released individually. The big new thing is the addition of the Enigmatic '82, their Dumble sim, which has been in pedal form only. Maybe new effects, too; hard to tell how much code they'r recycling.
My assumption is that they'll keep releasing new amps over the years and charging for upgrades to the Studio. Clever.

One interesting thought on this is that, if Paradise is like other amp suites, you could disable parts of it and just run a track through the included effects. It looks like it includes their Plate 140, 1176 compressor, and Lexicon 224, for instance. Probably other recycled code that you'd need to otherwise buy.
CPU hit may be a concern, of course.

Correct. Of the 26 effects, 20 are either brand new or were previously only available as pedals. The only way to get these effects as native plugins is with Paradise.
