Damn, sounds like the pitch detection needs work, hopefully they continue to work on it.

I've often thought of trying out some of their plugins like Captain Chord or the Pilot-series, but this looked impressive and I read their blurbs and saw a video or two, then bought it missing completely that it was for mac only... Shopping with my eyes closed. Oh well, contacted them to hear if a win version is in the works.

Everything else they make is cross platform so I'm sure this will be too, but that is super annoying. I just bought Flux Mira yesterday thinking it was a plugin, oops!

That's a mistake I could've made too, reminding me that I should bother learning to use virtual cables for getting audio/midi between standalone programs and DAWs... Now I actually seem to remember having done the same. 🤭

Despite similar misgivings about the always online thing I bit the bullet and I'm glad I did. It's pretty instant in terms of generation.

It's very musical. It tends to avoid busier basslines but that's a good thing. A lot of bass generators I've used tend to just use notes in the selected scale with no rhyme nor reason to them.

Every bassline I've tried in Bassliner sounds coherent. A specific generation might not be what I'm specifically looking for but none of it has the "dog's dinner" vibe that a lot of these generators suffer from.

It could maybe do with a X2 function but that's not difficult to in a daw so not a deal breaker.
I read over at GS that you can generate a whole library’s worth of baselines that you can access off line in your local library. That’s pretty nice, I’ll probably pick it up.

They answered me straightaway that they are actively working on a windows version for a release next year. They also offered me to swap it for a license for Captain Chords, if I couldn't wait. With my sense of time, I'll wait 🤭

That does sound pretty nice and €19 is a really good Cyber Monday deal

Looks interesting. No info on if it supports MIDI out though...

From their forum, MIDI out is not available but is on the roadmap...

This one seems to have been a bit buried in the feud.

Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

This should be pretty soon, as FAW's Instagram comment stated the midi out is now ready for release! :)

Anyone tested instacomposer 3? I'm tempted to buy the update for cheap, but Im afraid it's going to be more or less the same as 2, zero musicality(imho).
