krabbencutter wrote: Wed Dec 10, 2025 1:58 pm I know Windows on ARM is not officially supported. That being said it would be cool if the installer was at least WoA aware so that I can install the x64 versions to use with emulation. Right now it will only install the presets but no plugin.
The installer isn't created by us, it's a very popular installer application called InnoSetup.
I'm not sure if there's anything we can do about it.
I think we can look into it at some point next year.

Would it be possible for you to add an option to scale the interface above 200%, please? Since the UI is vector based, I hope this wouldn’t be difficult to implement. Even at 200% on a 4K laptop screen it’s still smaller than I’d like.
This is gonna happen, just like in the recent Uhbik Release. But it it on a different development branch right now, we need some time to merge this over.
And this is just a suggestion – maybe you could add a random patch generator, please? Sometimes it’s a great way to start from an unexpected, weird direction. Yes, I saw your comment that it could damage speakers, but doesn’t a limiter solve that problem?
Can't really promise anything just yet.

I mean, of course we have always had randomizer scripts in our preset database and stuff... but for Zebra 3 this would need to be way more elaborate, like choose modules, randomize waveforms etc.

cairnan wrote: Wed Dec 10, 2025 2:21 pm I adore Zebra 2, my favorite synth, and I have been dreaming of Z3 for a very long time as I know others have! Surreal to arrive at this day, and start playing with it. Thank you U-he for the incredible plugins you make, the underlying design / interaction philosophy are equal parts creative and technical, which I think is something a lot of us love about them and find unique. Everything we have heard and seen of Z3 seems like the culmination (thus far!) of those ways of working, so this is very exciting indeed
I have arrived at this day and its Aaammaazing thanks Urs and Cairnan!! :P

Congratulations to the U-he team! It must feel great to finally release this labour of love to the rest of the world. And knowing that this synth will only keep getting better in the years to come, it really feels like Christmas arrived a little early this year. I don’t know if this is the right moment to ask, but… when can we expect Zebra 4? Just kidding! :)

Is there a feature request- or bug list where dreams and suggestions can be entered?

Any details on the CSV files for the modal resonator? I noticed they are text files with partial info I guess.
Stuck in Aperture Laboratories for a 2nd time!

I love that synth!

I've read about the know issues and this one isn't there.

So here's a little report of stuff I found:

1. When selecting a preset and then do "init", not everything will be reset to init state.
For example I selected "Airwave" and pressed "init". Still the envelopes, MSEG and Mapper are there.
Also OSC1 is not resetted correctly.

2. First I used the Beta license card to activate. It worked.
Then I loved what I've heard and purchased for the introduction price and got my full card. When loading a "non-beta-serial" (card) it works after loading. But when I close the DAW and insert Zebra 3 again it shows me the "Beta Tester" registration again.

I'm on Kubuntu 24.04 with Bitwig Studio 6 Beta 7.

Andreya_Autumn wrote: Wed Dec 10, 2025 3:35 pm Why not just use the overtone series indices in the normal way? 1=root, 2=oct, 3=oct+fifth, 4=2 octaves... etc etc. And same for the undertone series.
What you mean is the "harmonic series", where the first harmonic is the fundamental. An "Overtone series" would be similar but the numbers are different. They're often interchangeably used, but it's not the same thing. Overtones are above the fundamental, so the fundamental needs to be the zero, 0 = root.

Urs wrote: Wed Dec 10, 2025 2:45 pm For now we like to think of Zebra 3 as being made for humans, and conscience design.
I like this idea and the approach of conscientious design speaks for itself with Zebra 3.

There's room for happy accidents, a big part of the Zebra presets are in a text format and I won't be surprised to see tools start to appear to support a wide range of preset creation, including some randomization.

It's one per voice. But for a second value you can simply

- use Random in the Matrix and S&H it with Gate
- use ModNoise with S&H in the ModMath modules
