We already have an idea what 'U-He' is an abbreviation for.
Someone hasn't read the manual... ;)
The team is listed in there.
I wrote, "...if you haven't..." and seem to recall catching a U-He manual or credits where Urs was listed first, which is why I suggested last instead (if at all) and elaborating on the team's efforts, etc..

It's a bit like 'Elon Musk' everywhere.

Edit: The card's 'extensions' would make a good impetus to get those nerds out and about! :D

I’m not saying Zebra 3 has a cult… but we might need robes, candles and a modulation matrix shaped altar soon
Incoming, the cult of cooler-than-thou naysayers, who abide by a simple, strong core belief: thou shalt not show excitement, interest, fascination, approval, nor joy about any new release, else you look uncool, as if you are in a pack of branded loyalists, almost as bad as the MAGA doofs interviewed by liberal reporters/content creators outside of Trump rallies.
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

I'm an anarchist. :)

In any case, if you have 150 likes panned left, you need about that much panned right at about the same volume. It's about balance. ;D

If Urs was doing it for free, it is uncertain he could pull it off quite like Full Bucket Music.

Seb7 wrote: Thu Dec 11, 2025 11:14 pm So the upgrade/crossgrade discount for owners of multiple U-he products including Zebra legacy is what?
Less than the snack you’ll eat while installing it.

If you own Zebra 2 (pre-Legacy) only you can upgrade to Zebra 3 for €30 (~$30).
If you own Zebra 2 and The Dark Zebra you get Zebra 3 completely free.
Owning other u-he products (Hive, Diva, Repro, etc.) does not give a further crossgrade discount beyond the above. There’s no general multi-product owner pricing.
Buying Zebra Legacy now (the 99 € bundle) does not give you the €30 upgrade path. You’d pay normal pre-order or full price for Zebra 3.

Pretty sure this is right, but if not, someone please set me straight.

Yes, pretty cold... Owners of Legacy (those who bought in the past) should get SOMETHING. It's still Zebra2, it was a borderline obsolete product and it cost money, it wasn't a gift.

The writing has been on the wall for quite a long time as to how upgrade paths would be. The scenario for Legacy was spelled out clearly from the moment of its inception, IIRC. So it goes.

So U-He can shift all their dev stuff to and fro' over the years, but yet 'the writing on that particular wall' is somehow etched in stone.

You did get something, you got Zebra 2, Zebra HZ and the Dark Knight set, and a bunch of presets for less than half the price of what everyone else paid pre Legacy version. Uhe were really clear and gave loads of notice beforehand about the conditions for the upgrade. You still get the intro offer, worth every penny.

Also, Zebra Legacy is pretty f’n far from obsolete. Superseded, sure. But Zebra 2 still sounds amazing and is far from having every possible sound made. It’s probably a safe bet that while Zebra Legacy is “feature complete” now, it will probably continue to be supported for many years to come and dare I say, probably even get a few of the cross platform upgrades that U-he seems to give all their plugins from time to time.

The amount of entitlement from people these days is amazing. I personally have purchased everything included in Zebra Legacy as an individual product (although, smartly when company deals were available) and if I weren’t “legacied” into Z3 for free, I’d have no issue paying the introductory offer or even full price if I had to.

I apologize if you've already answered this, but are you accepting user made presets from the Zebra 3 user community? I'd love to make some to say thank you for giving us Zebra 3!

Nowhere did I say any of that. However, it is disingenuous to have purchased Legacy with the conditions clearly spelled out--and then to show up at Z3 launch and call it "cold."

U-He were very clear months before the release of Legacy. People who wanted an upgrade path to Zebra 3 should have bought Zebra 2 at full price. If not, get Legacy bundle with a huge discount.

If you're an Uhe fanboy - which is totally fine to be, you're not doing them any favors with this type of intransigence. It's not 2006 anymore.
Secondly, none of that was clear to me when I bought Legacy and the other Uhe stuff I own. Not everyone is paying attention to "the wall" or whatever.
My post may have triggered you because it sounded like entitlement - and it is - my dealing with Uhe is transactional while yours is probably different in nature, I don't know.
Getting to beta test an unfinished product for a hefty 179 while your previous purchases are ignored, doesn't feel right to me. But it feels right to you, great let's move on.
