Yes, I know - I absolutely hear you on this. But even without comparing the individual amps to the suite it's super-obvious* that whoever coded these didn't give the first damn about cpu-consumption, which is why there is absolutely no reason to assume that the plugins were optimised in any way.**DerKastellan wrote: Thu Dec 11, 2025 1:45 pm Actually I was making, in general, the point that CPU is wasted to no gain in the single plugin version.
To me they also do not sound or feel superior in the slightest compared to other amp-sims which use a third or less CPU than these.
*Bypassing, filters, the gate and other stuff has no influence on the CPU usage at all and the same even goes for turning room to zero and setting the cabinet section to "direct", which is not something users would typically tolerate if it was a mistake made by the first paid product of some small vendor. But if UAD release something in that poor state and people notice the high CPU consumption they merely rejoice over the marvellous authencity of the emulation.
**which is the exact opposite in regards to their older plugins. It's as if they couldn't be bothered anymore since they don't need to squeeze every last bit of computing power out of their aging DSPs with these (native only plugins).
