I personal hate that if you move the knobs, the knobs move while the pointer stays still. This isn't how it works in Zebra 2...not sure if that's a bug though

Hello Urs,
I think I found 2 small bugs - (PC, Windows 11, Ableton 12)
- Adding a Burn effect to the master chain and setting the dial about 10 o'clock on all modes expect Arithmetic gives my CPU an Aneurysm. Also I might be wrong but I don't hear any effect applied to the sound on any of the modes other than my cpu failing
- When loading an EQ on a synthesis chain the display shows as if there are different values but all the knobs are on 0 ( not very clear as a bug report, sorry, I can send a Screenshot if needed)
Hope this helps
Ofer

I don't know if it could help some of you with pops clicks etc, but make sure you read up on the Perform panel (in the Intro section) regarding voice Reallocation and Discharging and Pitches tab section of the manual. There are some nifty things going on in the way the voicing works that may or may not affect what you are getting with various articulations. But it may be something else you guys are experiencing. I have not had any of these pops clicks with either source or renderer (of course I do avoid Precis maths for now)

In the Pitches modules, "Previous" note mode does not work while in Legato mode (it behaves just like "first"). In Mono mode is works correctly.

The sole purpose of the Burn module is to waste CPU. It has no audible effect. (I just saw it isn't mentioned in the user guide, yet... sorry for that...)ofersmi wrote: Fri Dec 12, 2025 11:21 amAdding a Burn effect to the master chain and setting the dial about 10 o'clock on all modes expect Arithmetic gives my CPU an Aneurysm. We should have a little tutorial video next week that explains what it does and why we thought we'd keep it in.
(CPU metering is unreliable on CPUs with asymmetric cores such as Apple silicon or modern Intel mobile processors. One doesn't always know if a plug-in runs on a performance core or an efficiency core. The Burn module forces the plug-in onto a performance core, and then one can use the Module Performance Meter under the u-he logo to faithfully benchmark and explore CPU usage of Zebra's individual modules)

Well in that case it works just perfect (and I am not a fool for not hearing any change in the sound)Urs wrote: Fri Dec 12, 2025 1:58 pmThe sole purpose of the Burn module is to waste CPU. I think the name and GUI should be changed then. Right now it looks like a crazy distortion plugin, maybe just call it CPU and remove the fire.Urs wrote: Fri Dec 12, 2025 1:58 pmThe sole purpose of the Burn module is to waste CPU. That is work in progress... we haven't found a good way to display the filter options yet for the FX section.Beachboy wrote: Fri Dec 12, 2025 2:38 pm I can't open the filter palette when using filters 5/6. I can use the arrows but I don't see the overview as with filters 1-4 (Windows 10 / Studio One 7).

When filter added to FX/Out in lower panel it is not showing filter chart when pressing on "LP 6 db" but when filter added in main grid it does appear.

Urs already answered that:WalterH wrote: Fri Dec 12, 2025 6:32 pm When filter added to FX/Out in lower panel it is not showing filter chart when pressing on "LP 6 db" but when filter added in main grid it does appear.

ah ok, I didn't see that one, but why not just display it in main grid, you can't work on 2 filter charts in seme time anyway...

Support-champ Henry got back to me and said I just had to locate the card pngs on my system and remove them. I found them in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\u-he folder. I had to restart Ableton completely and load an instance of the plugin and then it asked me for a card, at which point I selected my own and it workedUrs wrote: Thu Dec 11, 2025 7:45 pmYeah, the beta tester serial is probably *newer* than your actual serial. No worries though:snigelx wrote: Thu Dec 11, 2025 6:06 pm <snip> I am unable to replace the Beta License with my own License Card.<snip>
- our support team can tell you how to manually remove the beta card (I'm not familiar enough with Windows...)
- when Zebra 3 gets released, the beta card will not work in it, and then the other card will take over (I hope...)
So it's not per se a bug, I should have just back dated the beta card![]()

Loading and using many if not most Zebra 2 if loaded from disk .h2p presets seems to fail. (not just zebralette, full zebra 2). I suspect that most user-created zebra 2 .h2p presets are in the same boat, as mine are also. All my collections of zebra 2, I have tried lots of .h2p presets nothing loads yet. Mostly zebra3 quietly fails to import, creates some init type base preset and dies without indication of problem or what to do to fix.
Examples of Zebra 2 preset files in the zebra2 preset library on my disk that don't load properly, and often just load a basic unmodulated oscillator similar to an init patch instead of the full patch including effects and the modular content of the main synthesis include just about every preset name visible on screen here: I verified each one works in zebra 2 and not in zebra 3. I could not find one that sounded right.

That's because Z3 does not load Z2 presets, it was never advertised that it would, quite the opposite in fact. Z3 is a complete rewrite with no backwards compatibility...wpostma wrote: Fri Dec 12, 2025 11:32 pm Loading and using many if not most Zebra 2 if loaded from disk .h2p presets seems to fail.
