Can the source code of Lyrebird also be copied and pasted? Pretty please?

I wonder why the middle mouse button is not used for this. It's as if playing with one hand and tuning something weren't necessary. I have to use two hands with shift and don't have a third hand for a MIDI keyboard.beely wrote: Sun Dec 14, 2025 11:26 pmYes, as the manual says, you have to press Shift *before* clicking on the control.bmanic wrote: Sun Dec 14, 2025 10:07 pm - Fine control when holding SHIFT key down, does not work correctly while left mouse button is held down. To get fine control over anything you need to let go of left mouse button, then hit SHIFT, then hit left mouse button and hold on the control.
I do find this a bit annoying and non-intuitive (I had to go look up the manual about fine control because I couldn't reproducibly find it on my first z3bra outing). I would expect to be able to add Shift as I'm already moving the control to get finer movements as necessary, so I'm with you on that request...

Because many people don't have a 3-button mouse...
Hehehe, you can shift-click and then let go of the shift-key whole you drag. IIRC that was the whole point of implementing it this way.
That said, I don't mind mapping any middle mouse button to anything. It just has never come up before, at least not as far as I can recall.

I would like to know if you plan to have working release velocity when the Mpe features are finally added it currently can trigger some things but supply any value data it currently seems to be more of a gate. That is not how its supposed to work it should supply a release velocity value.

We would love to do that, but can't yet say when we do it.
The MPE specs btw. do not mention Release Velocity. But yeah, we'd love to support it.

It's a basic Logitech G305.Urs wrote: Mon Dec 15, 2025 6:40 amWhat type of mouse do you have?bmanic wrote: Sun Dec 14, 2025 10:07 pm I hope it's okay to report some minor bugs in this thread. Or is there a proper email or bug tracker where you'd rather have reports? Anyhow, here are some that I found just now as I finally had some time to test Zebra 3 beta.
System: Mac M1 Mini base model. Sonoma 14.6.1. Reaper v7.55. Zebra3 VST3 format.
- Mouse control is super sluggish on knobs, sliders and multi-way switches. This is fixed by turning off the option "Hide Mouse On Drag"

I meant like not exclusive - "middle mouse key only" (shift can still work, for mac people because idk if they still use those one button mouses?) but adding middle mouse button as a "hidden" bonus option.Urs wrote: Mon Dec 15, 2025 5:17 pm Because many people don't have a 3-button mouse...

That action: take hand off keyboard ---> shift key press ---> put hand on midi keyboard again looks easy but multiply that x 3000 times a day and it becomes a bit annoying.
If its easy fix its more then welcome.

Thank you I use it for most of my mono synths rather then pressure the way I use it is interestingUrs wrote: Mon Dec 15, 2025 5:47 pm We would love to do that, but can't yet say when we do it.

first I assign velocity to attack time than I assign release velocity to release time than I use a macro to control the over all intensity of the synth. because I do all my song writing using just the piano role this is actually way easier than using pressure in fact my only reason for using pressure was I didn't know zebra 3 would be supporting this I am soooooo Happy my disability makes it impossible for me to use a keyboard I must compose by drawing notes.

・Thank you
Thank you very much for creating such an amazing instrument. I’ve already pre-ordered it and I’m really looking forward to the final release.
・What I liked
The level of flexibility is very high, and the overall workflow feels much clearer than before.
Even for beginners or first-time users, it’s easy to understand where to start and which parameters to tweak.
・Suggestions for improvement
It would be very helpful if basic oscillator waveforms could be selected more easily as part of the initial preset setup.
I’d like the INIT button to be placed in a more immediately accessible location. Right now, it requires an extra step to reach.

How can we upload patches for you to troubleshoot? I made a relativly simple patch with 10 modulators, scanning a wavetable, and scanning a mseg that opens and closes the filter on a bass patch.
The WT had 1 effect on it, and i used some curves on the Wavetable to modulate it.
Now it consumes 80% cpu with that patch of 1 Osc, 1 Filter, 1 Mseg, and maybe 10 modulators.
M4 Studio 14 core.
Also does the X,Y pads for macros come back again? I really liked those from Zebra 2 and Hive, they are really useful automating or recording playing with this XY pads. Also it would be cool if we get that Hive 2 modulation sequencer added.
Main wish: better performance, sounds absolutly stunning.
