I am running Sonic Birth on an M2 mac under macOS 14, will it work on macOS 15 or Tahoe 26?

No. macOS 15 and later are missing some nuts & bolts needed for SonicBirth.
What I'm doing though is running SB in a macOS 12.7.6 virtual machine in macOS 26.2 on a MacBook Pro M4 Pro. I use VirtualBuddy https://github.com/insidegui/VirtualBuddy for the setup and running of the virtual machine.
In that macOS 12.7.6 virtual machine, the host is usually Plogue Bidule. Similar Bidule patches of mine that could be a though load on a 2013 Mac Pro are now using around no more than 10% of the total CPU power on my MBP (or 120% on a total of 1400% in Activity Monitor metrics).
And it's stable enough that I did in the last weeks two or three hours long live streams on YouTube with the Bidule patch using SonicBirth plug-ins in virtual macOS 12.7.6, sending the audio to OBS Studio in the non-virtual macOS 26.2 and running live fragment shaders (Shadertoy) with Vuo in 26.2 for the visuals.
It's not high art, but it's fun!

Whoa - this is very concerning.
I am currently downloading Sequoia..!!
I'm also in the middle of an album project.
I have a number of custom, proprietary plug-ins that I cannot afford to lose.. what are the chances that SonicBirth will be updated?
f**k.
Apple's Logic Devs told me Rosetta was still a part of macOS 15
What to do...???

Oh, yes Rosetta is still available in macOS 15 and 26, but not either Carbon or Cocoa APIs that are used by SonicBirth, if memory serves me right.

You can use AUNetSend and AUNetReceive to send and get back audio from a real machine to a virtual machine.

I'm so depressed.. I have so many plug-ins that I use that have no commercial equivalences..
I could run them from my 32-bit laptop as hardware channel inserts..
You said : "... but not either Carbon or Cocoa APIs that are used by SonicBirth, if memory serves me right."
Can you confirm that under Sequoia SonicBirth AU plug-ins do not run?

I went the virtual machine route because macOS 15 left me no choice...

Well, I started working on it with ChatGPT this week since the integration in Xcode is pretty efficient. Maybe, maybe, I'll have something for you (and others interested) to test soon.

That is good to hear. I've been overwhelmed looking at possible replacements for SB, and there is nothing like it out there.
If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.
