Well version 6 was free as well, but it seems it had more new features, for example the modal engine... Just my two cents.

It's anyway an even nastier (in a good way) beast now

6 and 7 both came out this year, I think the numbers are irrelevant, basically this is just a synth that gets lots of updates

for me it's more a 6.5 update than a 7.0

Like I said the actual numbers are not particularly important, this is a continuous update process really - 2 in one year

To be fair it doesn't really feel like an entire version update. Doesn't mean it's a 'bad' update or that I'm ungrateful. Arturia should be commended for supporting Pigments with all these free updates.

I'm not a fan of these Play tabs on synths but I really like the new visualizer.

I can't log into the Service Center, these Apps always fair worse under heavy load.

I have it working fine in Live - sometimes a clean install is a good idea. You could try uninstalling it through ASC and cleaning prefs, then reinstalling?

Now that’s a nice surprise! These new filters and per voice distortion look great. Let’s see if I can get it to work without ASC …

Okay, I got into the ASC and installed. Seems to be working without issues on Windows 11 although that's no consolation to those having issues on Mac.

I'm not a fan of the new "Boob Macro Knobs" ™ because I keep getting distracted. I prefer a proper knob with an indicator not one that goes from an A cup to a D cup.

But I'm not being ungrateful, just expressing an opinion.....

Same. ASC says, "Status: Checking connection..." (connection to the internet is fine) and then crashes after a while.

yes, same here:
2 hours ago it waas fast - ASC updated itself and downloaded without troubles at 30-45 MB/s speed
(without telling me, that it's probably not campatible with my system)

but now ASC won't even launch or even connect....

every year the same i guess

p.s.:
i was able to downgrade to 6.0.1 (via standalone installer package) which is working
had to run the installer twice though
the first run did not install any plugins (AU, VST, AAX) - just removed all of them
the 2nd run installed them...
