Hi Jürgen,

Unfortunately, my Korg Kronos is permanently broken, but I still have so many sounds. Is there a way to convert these xx.PCG files into files for the Korg Wavestate, or any other format?

Thanks for all you do !!
Bernie

If you search for "korg pcg converter" you get some results but not sure if there is a solution.

I have a couple questions/suggestions.

Would be cool to have Ableton and Bitwig Drum Machine formats. Especially now that you have maschine format included.

Also have you seen that video where the guy shows how to create multisample files for Omnisphere? He showed how to edit the files manually, not hard at all. But it seems like a basic converter could work to Omnisphere format based on that process. Would be amazing.

I decided for ConvertWithMoss not to support specific drum oriented formats. Furthermore, the Bitwig drum format (or more generally: their device presez format) is not documented.

Yes. but don't know if and when this will happen.

ConvertWithMoss 15.1.0 is online!

Get it from https://mossgrabers.de
  • New: Added support for Maschine 1 MSND files.
  • Fixed: Application icons show up again.
  • Maschine MXSND
    • Fixed: Older Maschine 2 files were not converted correctly or did show exceptions.
  • MPC Keygroups
    • Fixed: Don't read loops from WAV files which can cause unwanted full loops.

Enjoy!

Very nice, thanks! Any chance that you will also add Renoise .XRNI support?

I did some tests but can't see anything wrong. Into which format are you converting?

This will appear in all formats.
I converted other mxsnd files and most of them worked fine, but a few showed this issue.

Thank you, Moss, for sharing this tool. Looking forward to properly try it.

I was wondering, if I were starting from scratch to create a multipsample instrument, which I would then like to convert to the many other formats which ConvertWithMoss supports, is any format recommended as a better "source" format than others? Is one format more suitable than others as a (lowest) common denominator?

Cheers
/Björn

Here is a spreadsheet which shows you which format supports which parameters:
https://github.com/git-moss/ConvertWith ... ormats.ods (click on "Raw" to download it).

I would suggest SFZ since you can easily edit it with a plain text editor.

I appreciate for such a great project, and for taking i count to Linux users!
