Scrolling behaviour in a Mac laptop (via touchpad)

Hey,

I am wondering if the scrolling behavior that I encounter in MuLab composer is the intended one or there I am experiencing something unusual.

I other DAWs where there is a clip launcher (when the clips are larger than the screen size and there are both vertical and horizontal scroll bars) moving two fingers horizontally along my touchpad scrolls sideways, while moving two fingers vertically on on my touchpad scrolls vertically.

In MuLab moving two fingers vertically over the clip launcher clips area expands/contracts the Live Matrix horizontally, while moving two fingers vertically over the tracks titles area (left side) expands/contracts the live matrix vertically.

Is this the intended behavior for a Mac laptop touchpad? In other words there is no way to scroll the live matrix horizontally/vertically via a touchpad on a Mac?

I am confused because I consider this such a basic thing I'm questioning if there is a bug or I just don't understand how this is supposed to work. :)

Try option/vertical two finger scroll for vertical scrolling the clip launcher and command/vertical two finger scroll for horizontal scrolling the clip launcher. That works by default on my MacBook.

That works indeed. Thank you!

Is there a way to switch the behavior so it scrolls horizontally and vertically with two fingers (like the other DAWs) by default (and option and command + two fingers are used for zooming vertically and horizontally)?

If not, I suggest this as a feature request. :)

I can’t see anything obvious in the preferences or shortcuts menu that would allow you to do that. I think the current scrolling behaviour may be set up for a mouse rather than a trackpad i.e. command or option (vertical) scrolling makes sense when using a mouse.

Indeed MuLab does not yet support multi-touch gestures.

Thank you!
