If you want a drum synth that "decent" or better, I'm afraid your only choice is Linux.

No good plugins on Mac since Smackbox came out, which everyone with a pulse misses.

What? Drumspillage and microtonic are wonderful.
Also Logic’s own drumsynth

It's a bit long in the tooth but will be updated to M1 soon according to the dev.
Actually seems quite cool, will definitely give it a spin, thanks.

Thanks for the nice words. <3

This doesn't go for realism so much. It's more of an FM percussion synth.

This is an old fave of mine...! One of the first to have probability on the steps as well.
...can combine samples AND a very nice drum synth !

BUT , i was convinced it was/is abandonware..... but now there are some signs of life apparently 😍

ALSO, the GUI need an overhaul , make everything bigger , more clear and of course resizable.

...and would love me some randomization, patterns , synth drums voices, samples etc

All in all , it sound great and has massive potential!

Looking good, will check it out. Not after "realism" at all. Leaning more to the aggressive, electronic sound.

It's a good thing it's finally out ;)

Microtonic is my favorite for techno music.

Yeah it's great! For fairly good reasons I prefer Smackbox though ;)

Set yourself up on Xchange or ask Music Marketing to distribute you. That way, you can have us dealers promote you instead of having to spam old threads yourself. Alternately, just spam the deals thread since that's exactly what people subscribe to it for.

Sorry, and thanks for the tips. I will stop now.

Also, you can reach out to KVR directly about having them be a dealer for you (KVR sells plugins now). I suspect they order via Xchange, as well, but haven't confirmed it.

Anyone using a Mac, who also uses Logic Pro, has access to Ultrabeat. It's ugly as hell, but it's probably the most powerful, adjustable drum synth around.

The GUI is so terribly awfully horrible, I could never really get into it.
I started on Logic 5 with a PowerBook G4 550Mhz. I now have a MacBook Air M1 and it's ~165x faster! So, why is my music not proportionally better? :(
