Question about an "aging" behaviour of the oscillators. Something that you can find in some analog emulation plugins. If yes, how can I route it in the matrix that comes similar to it ?

Check the "Calibration" section in the Pitches modules. You can Decalibrate or Destabilise them. Use two different Pitch modules for two Oscillators, set Calibration level to about 50% and you are pretty much where our most alive sounding analogue synths are.Harmes wrote: Fri Dec 19, 2025 10:55 pm Question about an "aging" behaviour of the oscillators. FYI, for those who've missed having generator/modulator/effect (i.e., "module") presets in this beta:
I've posted a collection of 329 presets for 24 modules (derived from examples in the beta's instrument presets) at viewtopic.php?t=626373

Just bought Zebra3, danke Urs. I might have some feature suggestions to share with you.
1) Ive noticed the space above the four lanes ist empty. Could be quite handy if there would be solo buttons were one can select for example lane number 1 and only show the modules included in lane 1.
2) Also it would be nice to have a power button directly on the modules itself for quick on/off switch. It's a bit awkward to double click on the slots in the middle section for on/off all the time.
3) I personally preferred the module height from Zebra2. Something feels off with the module height in Zebra3. Somehow too high, which make the whole GUI ratio a bit bulky.
4) +1 for bring back the XY-Pads and Arp/Seq. It feels a bit like a downgrade right there.
Grüße aus Berlin.

As more and more module presets are expected to be shared by users (like p5c did!), it would be great if module presets could also support folder recognition, as has already been requested for microtuning earlier in this thread.
A dedicated window isn’t necessary — a dropdown menu that understands folder hierarchies, similar to Hive’s wavetable menu, would be more than sufficient.

So the empty space is where the groups go. If you select more than 1 module, you can focus on just those modules. Very handy. In the free space above the Grid appears a + then and you can set up groups for quick selection.1) Ive noticed the space above the four lanes ist empty. This is what it looks like:
To me this has become a core feature of Z3's workflow.

Yeah, this is one of the long term improvement projects. We have to write a special widget for this.
There's a lot of space currently in the modules because we have been shifting a lot of stuff around until the last days before this beta. We will now begin to work on a final layout, certainly with larger text and better readability. We'll see if the modules can be slimmed down.3) I personally preferred the module height from Zebra2. Something feels off with the module height in Zebra3. Somehow too high, which make the whole GUI ratio a bit bulky.
(as people prefer a wider form factor for the UI, modules might automatically slim down a bit)
If we bring back XY pads, I don't think it will be more than 2.4) +1 for bring back the XY-Pads and Arp/Seq. It feels a bit like a downgrade right there.
As I wrote elsewhere, I think we have managed to assign XYs to like 90% of the presets in Zebra Legacy and in all Hive banks, but it took a full time person more than half of the last 7 years to do this.
Grüße zurück aus Charlottenburg.Grüße aus Berlin.

Also, an arpeggiator and a sequencer are on our ToDo list for either 3.1 or 3.2 - we'll see if, when and what we come up with.

Yeah, maybe we do both of these improvements (nested pop up menu as well as a floating browser like we have in Z2)plugmon wrote: Sat Dec 20, 2025 12:05 pm As more and more module presets are expected to be shared by users (like p5c did!), it would be great if module presets could also support folder recognition, as has already been requested for microtuning earlier in this thread.

Short feedback from my side: I like, that the focus is on sound generation. With Bitwig and Reason I have a million options to design an arp and store it with the preset.Urs wrote: Sat Dec 20, 2025 12:40 pm Also, an arpeggiator and a sequencer are on our ToDo list for either 3.1 or 3.2 - we'll see if, when and what we come up with.
Also I like the greenish UI

Apologies if this has already been suggested/discussed ... please consider having a visual indicator of some kind on or near the module names in the Lower Bar to indicate whether that module is involved in the patch or not. Having an "in use" indicator would provide a quick dashboard view of the active modules without having to scroll through the Generators and Modulators rack.

That's definitely something I'd like to explore.ToneCarver wrote: Sat Dec 20, 2025 2:11 pm Apologies if this has already been suggested/discussed ... please consider having a visual indicator of some kind on or near the module names in the Lower Bar to indicate whether that module is involved in the patch or not. Not sure when we can do it though, the bag of great suggestions is already filled for years of development.
