Thanks for sharing. I recently picked up their Pop expansion, but haven't auditioned it yet.

I saw a rant somewhere with someone claiming you can do all this with freeware. Have you (or anyone else here) tried any VoiceAI alternatives?

IK’s free version of Tonex is excellent, as well. Easily enough to be the only amp plugin someone uses.

Noiseworks Dynassisst?

By the way, I watched Michael Nielsen's video about the Bumble Bee amp... so cool! I don't know how I missed this release. Thinking about it being my next one (once I sell a few first). Congrats! Really cool amp!

Nothing is scheduled for Dynassist. Do you have GainAim?

Thanks! It just came out and the first batch is nearly sold out. I'll probably have more in March.

There's something called RVC that's free, I think it's on Github. I assume that's what you're referring to. I haven't tried that, or any other voice modification software. I'll try IKM (Resing) when the free version is released.

Thanks Uncle. I do have GainAim, it's such a great plugin.
Thanks also for the info about the Bumble Bee, come spring I'll be ready for it. Hopefully the ridiculous price will hold...

Not sure if this is the right thread to ask, but are there any advantages for buying from Uncle E over PB or directly from manufacturer?

Post

When you buy plugins on a regular basis, you eventually start looking around for cheaper pricing (unless your name is Elton John and you have more money than you could ever spend in several lifetimes).

Check first IMO and check all standard discount codes. I find that Uncle E tends to have lower prices than sale prices at the developer's website for many plugins and libraries. A couple of recent examples include the current UAD bundles with the FORUM code and MNTRA instruments with the GROUP code if Uncle E has them on sale. I got the mixtapepro bundle for $88.11 there to pick up Anthem + 9 others in my want list and grabbed Vespera Pro and Tenebrae from MNTRA as well (separate purchases). I scan AudioDeluxe, PB, and BestService for exclusives + freebies of interest with purchase in case they have them. Other sites like BlackOctopus and ADSR rarely compete, but are worth checking just in case IMO.

Some items are not available at resellers, e.g. artist expansions for Geforce's MTron 4.

It's rather irksome when a reseller/dealer offers an "exclusive" discount, only to have to developer undercut that with a lower price shortly thereafter. This has happened several times with the Image Line gang (UVI, Melda, United Plugins, W.A. Production) -- KV331/Synthmaster, too. :tantrum:

For me, JRRshop is not only slightly cheaper but most importantly you get to talk with Uncle E either through their website or here in the forum. I've had a few issues in the past with serial numbers that didn't fully work (Bogren things, in this case) and Uncle E solved everything quickly. For me it's just about trust rather than a few dollars.

Same here. I prefer to buy from JRR because it lets me pay in USD even when I'm frequently traveling outside of the US, the discount code making them just a little cheaper, and Uncle E is just the GOAT on the forums!
