In over 30 years of using the internet Hornet has taken the title for the worst spam email company ever.
Absolutely impossible to remove myself from their emails.
Unsubscribe in my preferences on their site - fail
Email their support - fail
Block their email in my provider - fail
New emails from different address - fail
Unsubscribe from new emails - fail.
Hornet I do not want anything from you please stop sending me emails.
Never have I been pursued like this by a company. Do your housekeeping please. Very very annoying.

I'm sorry for the issue unfortunately we ad to reupload our contacts to our mailing system a mistakenly overwritten the unsibuscribe list. if you send me a DM with your email address i'll make sure to add you to the black list so you won't receive any other email (BTW I tested the unsubscribe link and it works just fine...)Whoppa wrote: Tue Sep 16, 2025 1:15 pm In over 30 years of using the internet Hornet has taken the title for the worst spam email company ever.

Or you could maybe just stop sending out multiple emails every day, every single week to your customers ?

A lot of companies are doing this.
Oh, we made a mistake with our last email ... here's another email.
Oh the code didn't work, now it works. Here's an email about it.
Here's a secret sale that everybody knows about. Here's an email about it. You're a special secret insider.
Only 600 days to go on our unique sale. Only 500 days to go. Getting into the last minutes now. Don't miss out. Etc...
Why the f**k did I subscribe to this thread?

This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

Hi all, Saverio from HoRNet here.
Thanks for the feedback. We regularly survey our subscribers and the majority tells us the current frequency and content work for them. That said, inbox preferences are personal and we fully respect that.
If you prefer not to receive our emails, you can unsubscribe with one click using the link at the bottom of any message. And if you ever have trouble with that, just DM me your address and I’ll personally remove it right away.
Appreciate you taking the time to share your view.
Saverio

The problem here is that your methodology is flawed. Why? Because you send out invitations to participate in the survey by email therefiore narrowing down the pool of respondents to those that read your emails. That's going to skew your results and not actually reflect the feelings of your user base at all. All you know is that the majority of people who like engaging with your emails like engaging with your emails. That's noit an insight.HoRNet wrote: Wed Sep 17, 2025 12:33 pm Thanks for the feedback. There really is no reason to send out that many emails. By doing so, each of your emails loses impact; I bet your opening rates are abysmal. These would be a lot higher if you were to actually provide real value to recipients.

I'd like some insight into how their unsubscribe has failed to work something like 6 times now.
Perhaps my email address is like a phantom dark sock in a washing machine, not appearing when searched for but then popping up after a white shirts wash has finished.
Or maybe this guy just has 20 different lists for anyone who's had any interaction with his company and he can't administer those lists because it would require some manual input.
I expect a trite apology and the usual reassurance that my address will be removed.
So, bump this thread in Easter then?

This is why I have a separate email for non-critical subscriptions. If they fail to unsubscribe, I just add that address then to my spam filter.

Who should they survey and send it to if not the people on their e-mail list???sjm wrote: Wed Dec 24, 2025 1:08 pmThe problem here is that your methodology is flawed. Why? Those who have, for whatever reason, unsubscribed or added spam filters etc. for the Hornet emails. In other words, the exact people who are complaining about the amount of spam that are obviously not included in the survey that Saverio references.TheMaestro wrote: Fri Dec 26, 2025 3:34 am Who should they survey and send it to if not the people on their e-mail list???![]()
It ain't rocket science.
