"Set As Project Main Module" questions

Hi,
I have the following setup:
--> Project Mux Modular
----> Mux Modular 1
--------> Composer 1
----> Mux Modular 2
--------> Composer 2
I noticed the I cannot set the Project Mux Modular as the Main Module or the Composers nested inside the Mux Modulars (as the option does not appear when I tap the gear icon) but I can set the first level child Mux Modulars as Main Modules. Why is that?
This isn't the end of the world (as I can obviously keep a small window with the Project Mux Modular open), but I'm trying to figure out what the reason for this is.
Perhaps the best question here is: besides deciding which one is the main window, does the "Set As Project Main Module" functionality do anything else?
Thanks!

It was a safety decission at that point in the code development.jaytwoeight wrote: Mon Dec 29, 2025 7:01 pm I noticed the I cannot set the Project Mux Modular as the Main Module or the Composers nested inside the Mux Modulars (as the option does not appear when I tap the gear icon) but I can set the first level child Mux Modulars as Main Modules. Maybe it would be safe to open this to any module in the project, needs some extra checks and real life testing.
There are some details here and there but in MuLab App it's mainly about which is the main module editor to be integrated into the project editor. In MuLab Plugin however it has more importance as it's the main module which is the gateway towards the host and it's the main module's parameters that are visible by the host.Perhaps the best question here is: besides deciding which one is the main window, does the "Set As Project Main Module" functionality do anything else?

Got it. I'm happy to test if that would help.It was a safety decission at that point in the code development.

Oh, I see. I keep forgetting that there is a plugin version.There are some details here and there but in MuLab App it's mainly about which is the main module editor to be integrated into the project editor. Next update will allow setting the Main Module to any (deeper) module in the project.jaytwoeight wrote: Tue Dec 30, 2025 8:14 pmGot it. I'm happy to test if that would help.It was a safety decission at that point in the code development.

Thanks in advance for testing.

Great! You are referring to the 10.2 Beta for windows right? I won't be near my Windows laptop for another 9 days. But I can test then (if that's still helpful).

The very next public beta update will be for Windows 64 bit indeed.
I expect the next Mac update in about 3 weeks.
