If you had to stick to one DAW, which one would it be?

I started on Logic 5 with a PowerBook G4 550Mhz. I now have a MacBook Air M1 and it's ~165x faster! So, why is my music not proportionally better?

So the selling point of a DAW is it being geeky?
And Bitwig is Mulab's big brother? Unfortunately the latter is a one man army who implements features that are according to one man's vision (90% guarantee for failure) that are no use to those who do professional work. Such a shame because the potential is there.
Bitwig is a professional DAW worked on by a crew; the end product shows.

Bitwig is a marvel. In such a short time in the market compared to the competitors (some are 2-3x older), and half or less the manpower perhaps, Bitwig have managed to catch up and even surpass them in some aspects. I’m very impressed with upcoming version 6.

At the end of 2025 I would say Reaper, for these reasons:
- starts fast
- scans plugins fast
- does NOT have any kind of "Welcome" portal when you launch it
- no Splice integration
- no integrated software store
- no chatbot assistant
- runs well on Linux
- I have actually finished tracks in it

Traction Waveform, I have been using it for sometime, the workflow for me is ideal, it is light on resources on my laptop. Can host vst 2 & 3 plugins, the built in FX for me are suffice. I have tried other DAW's (FL Studio and Ableton) but for me I'm quite happy to stick with what I know best.

This. I voted Reaper, but now with 13.5 Tracktion looks more and more like THE best to/for me - it's just so modern, neat, clever and pretty.
(My projects consist about 90% of self-recorded audio (the rest MIDI (mostly drums)), so the average KVR-member's mile-age may vary some.)

Another vote for Tracktion Waveform. I'll freely admit I haven't tried out a broad variety of DAWs but over (a long) time have at least tinkered with ACID Pro, N-Track Studio, Ableton Live Lite, various versions of Samplitude, and Mulab. Waveform gets the job down for me working solo in my home studio both on my own projects (complete songs) and my contributions to a friend's projects (individual instrument tracks that he pulls into Pro Tools). It's a great tool. I have been tempted more than once to get a proper license for Mulab but at this point I think I'm best off sticking with one DAW and continuing to learn its ins and outs thoroughly.
You can twist perceptions, reality won't budge.

Tough decision, but I'd have to choose the one I work the fastest with.

Bitwig without a doubt, it works best with my hardware, controllers and plugins, including CLAP and even bridged older plugins that don’t work in most other hosts on Mac, and has the best support for MPE. I love the grid, the ability to nest devices and plugins into other devices and modulate everything. Oh and Bitwig 6 when it is fully ready promises the ability to use automation as a composition tool in itself (which reminds me of Audiomulch), alongside and integrated with audio and MIDI.
