Then I got this.

It was worth it... well, I got it on GC's 50% off sale too.

I was going to say that it should work, but I have mine hooked to my Yamaha W5. If your keyboard doesn't have a polarity switch for the sustain pedal, you'll probably be stuck with the sustain pedal up gives you sustain, and it down, it plays normally.Beardedone wrote:Thanks Devon. Yeah that's the one I am looking to get. Just need to be sure it works with my Evolution MK249C keyboard. Maybe it will make it mpore attractive for my wife to play. I love hearing her play Chopin and Beethoven Sonatas- with a pedal I will get her to record a few of these for when I am auditioning new sound patches.
I would have thought it would be hard to make the Evolution MK249C keyboard attractive to play to someone who likes to play Chopin and Beethoven.Beardedone wrote:Thanks Devon. Gordon - you can use EnergyXT to make it so that a specific key on your controller can activate CC64 (ie send value 127) for sustains and when you release the key, it will deactivate it (ie send value 0).Beardedone wrote:I'll try and find out today. OT: See I'm going to audition monitors choosing between Event SP8s or Dynaudio BM5A? The Dynaudios are very nice but the Events have a broader spectrum with only a slightly less focused mid.
I'll have to look into that (it's in the Manual somewhere, right) -See 'm not even as far as assigning envelopes to VST parameters.Gordon - you can use EnergyXT to make it so that a specific key on your controller can activate CC64 (ie send value 127) for sustains and when you release the key, it will deactivate it (ie send value 0).
For sure but we only own a small upright and I can entice her to play some of the pianos in SS2 or GPO for example. The Evolution keys are no where near good enough for proper piano playing but still very useful for getting some parts that can write but that are impossible for me to play or program.I would have thought it would be hard to make the Evolution MK249C keyboard attractive to play to someone who likes to play Chopin and Beethoven
When are you going to buy your wife that grand piano she wants?Beardedone wrote: Maybe it will make it mpore attractive for my wife to play. I love hearing her play Chopin and Beethoven Sonatas- with a pedal I will get her to record a few of these for when I am auditioning new sound patches.

yeah seriously. it's really well done in that regard. now i have to get through 28 pages or so to catch up with this thread.Rabid wrote:Oh my. I expected good sound and got it. What I did not expect is the low CPU hit. In Sonar my system idols at 1 percent. Call up a nice pad in SS2, hit a 6 note chord, and wow, 3 percent usage.![]()
