Thanks, it would definitely help finding out what is going on. It seems to be specific to this particular session.

Also, if you can check if you have any user default PatchWork preset set, that could also help!

Just sent you a zip file through the support page on the website.

I did set one of the presets as a user default.

I was already in contact with the support but they couldn't help me and I wasn't able to provide useful info maybe but have others as well experienced problems with psp plugins (in my case Easyverb 2, psp 2445 and psp 285) in the 2 latest patchwork versions? They have constant cpu spikes, the bigger I make the gui the worse. Vst3 and standalone, Windows 10.
History: several months back I reported an issue to Bluecat that the meters in the vst3 versions of those plugins didn't work. They fixed it quite quickly but a side effect are those cpu spikes that didn't happen before..,

Michael G. Wagner found a serious bug in the latest Patchwork (only in the FX variant of the pluging):

If this will be fixed I'm really interested into Patchwork.

Best Regards
Andreas

It seems that the cpu spikes with open PSP plugin windows are much better with the new preview version. Not totally gone but maybe you can fix it by knowing what the difference is in the new preview.
Btw, same problem with the xils-lab chorx vst3 when I change settings on the gui....

PatchWork's I/O is clearly defined (up to 8 I/O + sidechain for the FX version and 16 outputs max for the instrument version), so although it can be viewed as a limitation, it is technically not a bug, as it is working as intended. And yes there are quite a few scenarios when it is useful to have more I/O available in a plug-in than the number of channels it can be assigned to (typically for an instrument, there are many cases where you just want to run a few aux outputs, not all).

Btw the "feature" mentioned is not what was advertised in the release notes. It refers to limitation with VST3 plug-ins that has been fixed:
"- Hosted VST3 plug-ins can now use up to 16 channels per bus (instead of 8 before)."

Anyway, I'd like to extend the number of available I/O as requested by many people but also want to make sure it remains fully compatible with existing sessions.

Regarding these issues I am afraid this is likely it can only be fixed in the forementioned plug-ins. I believe they rely on the frequency at which their parameters are updated by the host, which may vary from host to host. It is ot a good idea, especially if the GUI is slow to redraw.

Reason rack vst messes up in here... Gui doesn't display properly only when u load it the first time but if you reopen it's like only showing part of the gui...
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
hi how R u ?

Yes, this has been an ongoing issue for a while. Got in touch several times with them and it seems it' s not a priority for them to look into it (there is nothing we can do on our end at this point). You probably want to file a bug with them to help " speed up" the process...

Post

Those kind of issues I have with many rezisable guis.

they don't offer support for their plugin in a wrapper they say...

" but I do know that we do not support usage of Reason Rack Plugin in any wrapper VSTs. This isn't something we have tested, can guarantee will work, nor offer support on when it doesn't I'm afraid."

Hi Blue Cat Audio,

Two bugs in PatchWork 2.75:
1. I can't close editor windows using the small close button in the top-left corner.
2. The Params Map Editor window always appears behind the PatchWork GUI window instead of appearing on top, which means I have to move the PatchWork GUI window to see the Params Map Editor window.

Happy New Year!
