Some good news:
I've been updating/refactoring SonicBirth with the help of Claude AI (Sonnet 4.5 & Opus 4.5 models) for the past two weeks.
It's going fairly well, the SonicBirth framework is done and we're working on the application, checking if the Elements are working as intended. Next will be Audio Unit and VST export.
The app, framework, and plug-ins will be 64-bit (but the audio processing will still be selectable in 32 or 64-bit), universal built (Intel and Apple Silicon) and OS will be macOS 12.4 and up.
Nothing new in terms of functionality and features, it will be the old SonicBirth we know and love.
In terms of performance, it should be equivalent or better than version 1.3.5 on Intel processors and somewhat equivalent to version 1.3.5 running through Rosetta on Apple Silicon.
Shall we call it version 1.4 or 1.5?

Man, 2.0 was 14 years ago..!
One nice promise of 2.0 was the ability to export stand-alone / portable plug-ins (not requiring the framework to be installed).
It would be nice to have that ability in 1.4 or 1.5..!
