Installer issues

I followed the video on how to install apps with the installer. However, a chronic issue occurs where if I already have installed plugins but simply want to install a single newly purchased plugin and only highlight the plugin I want to install the other already installed plugins disappear. I noticed the same thing happen with United Plugins installer which look suspiciously similar to Melda's. So whatever installer protocol either company uses has some odd things going on.
I have to highlight all the plugins I have license for again and basically redownload and install them. It becomes a game of what "which plugin goes missing if I install the new one". Any ideas? THanks.

This is the first time someone has reported this, so I think you may have misunderstood the installer logic. If you want to install a new plugin, whether purchased or not, simply select it (it will turn green) and click Install/Change. All currently installed plugins will remain unchanged, and the newly selected plugin will be added.
If you deselect some plugins and select some others (which were not installed), then click Install/Change, the installer will perform two actions:
- Uninstall the unselected plugins
- Install the newly selected plugins
That’s it.

That's happening to me too.martin-meldaproduction wrote: Fri Dec 19, 2025 2:34 pm This is the first time someone has reported this, so I think you may have misunderstood the installer logic. I'm using MacOS Ventura, Cubase 12, and suddenly MagC wasn't seen anymore. So I re-installed it, which worked, but made MRingModulator and MRingModulatorMB disappear. Installing the latter kind of works, but the former still can't be seen. I can't even see the devices folder for the MRingModulator in application support. I can confirm that I'm selecting just the plugins I need when installing them. If I quit Cubase, both disappear again.
How to solve this issue?

From this, I get the impression that closing Cubase deletes some plugin bundles, which sounds very strange / unlikely.
Are you installing the plugins while the DAW is closed? It is not recommended to install plugins while the DAW is running.
Is the issue consistently reproducible, or does it happen randomly?
This should not happen at all-MPluginManager installs exactly what is selected when you click Install/Change. If something is not working correctly, I recommend running the Repair installation process.
If you have a scenario where this problem occurs consistently, please share the details with me at martin@meldaproduction.com, and we will fix it.

I think the issue is the installer automatically uninstalling the unselected plugins, and that's where the problem may be. Now I don't know if this has been my situation, but I will see the next time I need to install a new plugin. Thanks for reply. If you deselect some plugins and select some others (which were not installed), then click Install/Change, the installer will perform two actions:

To be more precise, MPluginManager compares the current installation state of the plugins with the previous installation state. This means that for the Install/Change button:
- Only newly selected plugins are installed. Plugins that were selected (installed) during the last installation are not touched and are not installed again.
- Only newly unselected plugins are uninstalled. Plugins that were already unselected (not installed) during the last installation are not touched and therefore not uninstalled.
If you click Repair installation, all selected plugins are re-installed, regardless of their previous state. Unselected plugins are not touched; MPluginManager keeps them uninstalled.
MPluginManager does not touch (delete) plugins from other brands under any circumstances.
