Agreed. They can be fantastic on certain projects, but they aren't a necessity. For the price though (especially their 1-5 buck range), it's hard to not want to support them. I got that bundle for 20$ and have just been experimenting with it. I've gotten some cool textures out of it, so I'm a happy fellaplexuss wrote: Mon Jun 07, 2021 7:58 pm I have a lot of the Puremagnetik plugins, but not all of them. They are interesting and sometimes useful. I wouldn't pay $20 each for them however. To me, they are like little audio DSP ideas that sometimes have a use in my work. Also, I enjoy experiencing other people's creativity and these seem to me to be that too. And finally, I think Purmagnetik does good work so I like supporting them. But I only buy when I get a good deal, that makes sense for me. This last sale, I had all but one of the plugins so it didn't make sense. I keep my eyes open for their bundle sales though...

Is there a reason they are so against demo's of the software they're selling, they seem pretty proud of their plugins. These have doubled in price

Not sure. I bought a few of their things, some that came with albums. One didn't work at all, and they gave me something else.trusampler wrote: Thu Jan 08, 2026 2:00 am Is there a reason they are so against demo's of the software they're selling, they seem pretty proud of their plugins. I haven't bought anything from them since. Not because their stuff isn't interesting, but because it sort of feels like prototypes or proof of concepts that never got fully developed. Like they're features waiting to be bundled into a few really cool plugins. I probably would buy more of them, even at their new higher prices, if there were proper demo versions. Maybe not. I have quite a few glitchy-granular-loopy things to play with.
