Ivan: the download link for the mac version of The Great Escape is linked to the windows version. I was able to download it by changing "win" to "mac" in the link.

Post

Hello everybody! A new update is planned next week, with the one for The Great Escape

Corrected, thanks for the report ;)

No automation parameter was available for changing delay type (single/ping pong/dual) , and no parameter was available for changing Sync type (free, BPM, slave to DAW). Both of those parameters could be automated in the old version.
All the parameters will be automatable in the next update ;)

I've always had trouble determining which label goes with which knob in the first column of knobs, and the Modulation column. I just seem to get lost. The label above and below a knob are nearly the same spacing. If the labels were dropped down closer to the knobs, I think it would be much clearer (at least for me).
I have been wondering for a while if I should let the labels on top or below the controls. I'm planning some big changes for the UI, but in the mean time, I think it might be clearer to change the orientation of the labels (and I have added some margins between consecutive controls too):

3 freeware delays to test now, thanks for Spaceship. Can one of them even knock the top paid one off the no1 position ?

I was looking forward to this day. An alltime favourite in the history of plugin freebies. Also looking forward to your future commercial endeavours!

This looks so much better! Nice job

Wow, labels below the controls looks far better, for readability.
Just those small changes in the screenshot would make it much better for me.

Nice plug in, thanks I seem to have a small problem where the plug in shows some blank white screen with a file explorer box relating to where presets are stored. It knows where they are but this blank screen covers controls each time the plug in is opened. You have to click that in a blank area to make the controls appear to adjust. Is that meant to be so ? I cannot imagine so.

It means that you have not put the presets from the plug-in archive in the presets folder yet. This user experience will be deprecated with the next update since it will include both the files to copy and paste manually, and the installers on windows + macOS finally :D

My goal here is not to compete with the commercial products  The plug-in market has changed so much in 10 years, and I can't count all the good delay plug-ins that have been released since then...

What I want to do is at first to upgrade the plug-in with all the features I had in mind back then, with all the additional good stuff which makes sense in 2026. Then, I want Spaceship Delay to stay as unique as it was, with its strengths, like the straightforward user interface, the low cognitive complexity...

Spaceship Delay was designed with my electric guitar play in mind, and my love for the textures I got from my (RIP) Korg Monotron Delay  But I want to add a few things here and there inspired from my recent interest in synths and noise machines. So it will be the good freebie which will complement well my upcoming new creations :hyper:

OK installers done, full clean up done, tutorial system update done, same for The Great Escape, now I need to update the compilation system for AAX and to make all the Linux versions, and I'll release both a new version for The Great Escape and Spaceship Delay ;)

awesome Ivan, great to see you active again !

Thanks!

Two months ago I was like "let's do a quick and minor update so I'll be able to add new features easily". The changelog has already almost 100 items
