Exactly. There is no "manager" needed to install S1 or anything to do with it.

I wouldn't say I got "burned" at all. V7.2.3 is as rock solid as ever and for the $149.00 I paid to get it - what I got was worth about $149.00 but certainly no more.J Veronica wrote: Sat Jan 10, 2026 12:57 pm The v6 users were proven right to wait, and the v7 users have been burned by Presonus giving up halfway through the year.
Who's left to buy the next version?
ALL these plans are dead. And please do not offer a "third" option.jamcat wrote: Sat Jan 10, 2026 1:31 pm I think if PreSonus Fender are going to continue on with this yearly renewal fee, they’re going to have to introduce a maintenance plan that is separate from the blanket upgrade version and significantly cheaper than it. The regular price for it needs to be under $100.
Well, it looks like he’s not.Vocalpoint Studios wrote: Tue Dec 02, 2025 5:56 pmIf this guy expects to remain as CEO and has any skills at his job whatsover - first thing good ole Andy needs to do is stop listening to whoever is telling him that subscriptions are a good thing. No one cares.jamcat wrote: Tue Dec 02, 2025 5:38 pm Andy Mooney is the moron who essentially said "even though Studio One is literally the easiest DAW to use in the world, I'm still too dumb to use it, so let's dumb it down to my level." He also thought people would willingly hand over $150 a year as some kind of corporate charity program, because value for money is so over in the woke era of owning nothing.
The second thing he should do is to let Presonus - be Presonus and take care of business - their own way.
This last 4 years of this "merger" has been a complete disaster - and if I were on the board for Servco Pacific - I would remind him of this - loud and clear during this years upcoming 1 on 1 performance reviews.

Is that supposed to somehow be worse than Andy Mooney’s background at Disney?greymattre98 wrote: Sat Jan 10, 2026 2:43 pm This guy built his career in Asia with QVC and Ralph Lauren.
So...? There's no mention of Bigsby, Gretsch, Jackson, etc. either. Seriously, what do you expect?greymattre98 wrote: Sat Jan 10, 2026 2:43 pm https://www.fender.com/pages/executive-announcement
Wow, this is all too much. No mention of PreSonus or DAWs in his background or messaging.
This is a great piece of news - but I do not think it will have any impact on us - unfortunately.
Sounds reasonable.thebutler wrote: Sat Jan 10, 2026 4:49 pm I can see a freshly branded new 'Fender Studio One Pro' DAW soon to launch. Its exactly like the old Presonus Studio One you know and love, but with requisite UI tweaks to bring it in line with the recent 'Fender Studio' app. This will help ease those (mobile/hobby/solo) users wanting to move their recording, producing and mixing, up to the next level.!
And along with new pricing etc, the whole situation will, I believe, largely be all ok... the sky isn't falling in, folk will decide either to update or not, Studio One will continue to work just as you've always loved, we'll all get on with our lives...
