I have used Zebra3 for hours, no problem until today. I put Lead in the patch search box (a first for me); selected a preset. Altered the Glide. Cubase crashed soon thereafter. I turned off my iMac entirely; turned it back on, turned on Cubase AI10.5 again. I put "Lead" in the patch search box; selected a different preset. Cubase crashed right away. Mac OS10.15. Hopefully it was just some weird anomaly.

Wavetable export isn't working with VST3 hosted in PluginBuddy on Windows 11. The Zebra3.data folder is in My Documents.
A friend of mine has the same issue most likely with VST3 in Live 12.3 on Windows 11, but I'll confirm this later.
In both Easy and Edit graphs, right-clicking>Export Wavetable fails and displays a pop-up "Can't create path to Wavetable Directory"
I couldn't see Wavetable Export fails in the list of known problems on the beta post and the manual doesn't explicitly state that export is experimental/WIP like import, so here I am

That's a case for our support team. Just a permissions or installation issue afaik.
The export itself works and is not WIP.

This one might fall under "some quirks and small bugs in the curve editor". The following gif illustrates this issue when using "cut away curve above guide" and the top right visible curve point appears to move horizontally rather than vertically as I expected, with an additional point added at the same location as the point visible on the guide curve.

Here's a similar kind of thing:

I figured it out!Urs wrote: Tue Jan 13, 2026 8:57 am That's a case for our support team. Just a permissions or installation issue afaik.

Both Z3 and ZL3 wavetable exports get dumped into the ZL3 data folder structure so if ZL3 hasn't been installed, Z3 can't see the path and on Windows at least*, even with full write access and running the Z3 installer as administrator, it doesn't have the right permissions to create a directory upon the first export action.
On my studio machines I already had ZL3 installed, like most users I suspect, so it was never a problem but on my work PC I only had Z3 (plus a small number of other synths that I like to tinker with on my lunch breaks!). Installing Zebralette3 and exporting a table in either plugin, creates the directory in the ZL3 folder and it can be deleted and recreated again with a fresh export.

It's punishment for non-believers who didn't install ZL3 on day onetasmaniandevil wrote: Thu Jan 15, 2026 12:58 pmHaha, indeed. Facepalm moment.PieBerger wrote: Thu Jan 15, 2026 10:37 am Both Z3 and ZL3 wavetable exports get dumped into the ZL3 data folder structure![]()

I have quite a few nice patches from ZL3 I copied over to Z3. If I recall, the ZL3 patch --> Z3 isn't perfect yet so these issue I mention here may be as a result of that imperfect transfer.
1. LFO setting seems to come across as too slow and its amplitude cranked all the way up
2. For some patches the transpose parameter has no effect
3. Many of the OSC FX settings seem to need 20-25% more 'effect' to sound the same
A few ZL3 patches I just don't seem to get right in Z3. Z3 just doesn't seem to capture the same character/quality for those - it's hard to point out exactly how it is different. Perhaps rather then loading the ZL3 patch I should rebuild it in Z3?

Calibration bug: I have key follow in Pitch 2 set to 25%, I add controller A as modulator, adding 75% would be mathematically correct but I have to add 90% to achieve the correct scaling.

Often when inserting a second filter I get this broken view without the buttons for selecting the actual filter models.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Yep, I think this is fixed in the next beta.Sampleconstruct wrote: Sat Jan 17, 2026 5:44 am Often when inserting a second filter I get this broken view without the buttons for selecting the actual filter models.
