Hi everybody,
I've looked for the "Age of Computations" patch for Omnisphere 2, but it doesn't exist in Omnisphere 3.
Does anyone know of an Omnisphere 3 patch that's similar to "Age of Computations"?
Regards!!
Safernar.

The older patches only exist in the Legacy section. Many of them were "remastered" by Spectrasonics to take advantage of new things. The "All Omnisphere" library only searches the new presets which is considered the Omnisphere 3 librarydb3 wrote: Thu Jan 15, 2026 7:58 am Yes, it can be found in 'All legacy' library search.
However, what surprised me was that it wasn't found in 'All Omnisphere' library search. I assumed all meant all.
The Legacy Library exists mainly for backwards compatibility so you can load old projects and have them just work

Good spot. I wonder if other patches are there that missed out on the conversion process?db3 wrote: Thu Jan 15, 2026 7:58 am Yes, it can be found in 'All legacy' library search.

I'd write to Spectrasonics support, it's almost certainly an oversight.

No it's not an oversight it's a deliberate choice and one that makes logical sense as to whydb3 wrote: Thu Jan 15, 2026 9:56 am It might be that, but IvyBirds is suggesting all doesn't mean all — which to me is a labelling oversight.
They reworked a ton of patches but not all of them. The however also left all of the original Atmosphere, Omnisphere 1, and Omnisphere 2 patches from 2002-2025 alone and included them in the legacy section.
That way these legacy patches remain but will not get confused with the new versions of the patches with the same name.
The product has also evolved and gotten consistently better than it was in 2002 with the release of the original Atmosphere and 2008 with the introduction of the first Omnisphere product. The filters are dramatically better, the effects are dramatically better and more diverse and the Modulation section is deeper and more powerful.
The Omnisphere 3 patches take advantage of all those things. They don't use the filter that Spectrasonics licensed from UVI in 2002 that was a 1990s design or the 2002 reverb as a result they sound better
So Spectrasonics opted to not include any of them in the "All Omnisphere" search which is a good thing as "All Omnisphere" already includes thousands upon thousands of presets and I for one don't want the old patches to show up when I am browsing for new sounds that use the latest features
However if I am feeling nostalgic and want to browse the old patches or look up a specific patch I remember from before or go to load an old project made with Atmosphere or Omnisphere 1&2 they are all there untouched, with the original UVI filters and original effects that sound exactly the same and it's handy when I am looking for those that they are all in one place and not mixed in with the new ones that may or may not have the same name

Logical to you maybe, but to me the most obvious function of 'View all' at the very bottom of the list would be to encompass all of the above. If not, the sub-label should be 'All Omnisphere 3' rather than 'All Omnisphere'. It's just another odd 'choice', à la starring.

Awesome so you want to add even more thousands of patches to the All Omnisphere search, including multiple versions of the same patch, with the same name, you want to wade through all of that? Knowing that you would be wading through thousands of old patches, that you are unfamiliar with, that sound inferior to the new ones that you are unfamiliar withdb3 wrote: Thu Jan 15, 2026 9:58 pmLogical to you maybe, but to me the most obvious function of 'View all' at the very bottom of the list would be to encompass all of the above. It's simple really the "All Omnisphere" search is all patches from the current version of Omnisphere and represents all of current versions of the factory preset library from the current product
The Legacy Library represents patches from previous versions.
But I can understand how some people lack the cognitive abilities to understand that and think a deliberate choice from the developer was an oversight when it's clearly not
Now you and me can debate all day long if it's the right choice or not
But it 100% is not logical or correct to say a deliberate choice openly talked about by the developers was an oversight or a bug as has been discussed and suggested in this thread when it's most certainly not
It's simple really if you want a legacy patch, it's there and easy to find. If you just want to browse the legacy patches for whatever reason it's there and easy to find and use
If on the other hand you want to ignore them while browsing everything else, the complete new Omnisphere library the new filters and effects that is also there and easy to find and use
But again I understand that some people lack the cognitive abilities to make sense if that and the logic behind it
