I would love dual parallel filtering, a steiner parker type lp filter. A Diode Type filter A bit brighter sounds on the oscillator and a nu-rev type reverb and 3 effects slots with more effects if possibleUrs wrote: Fri Jan 16, 2026 1:04 pmWe have made great advances in Zebra's modulation system in the weeks since the first beta release... we've greatly improved visual indication as to what's going on. A new beta was supposed to hit today, but we have last minute bugs that hopefully get fixed early next week.billinder33 wrote: Fri Jan 16, 2026 12:41 pmThe main thing I would update is the modulation system. Zebra3's isn't great in relation to other modern offerings, but at least it's usable. I get that Diva is supposed to be a throwback, but I don't think MSEGs and a drag-drop system would lessen it's tribute to vintage synths, it would just open more possibilities.Urs wrote: Fri Jan 16, 2026 10:47 am There's no way we're going to change anything substantial, like bend her into Repro-ish sonic territory.
More FX and a true randomization of the Voice section would be welcome as well. Manually twiddling 32 knobs is no fun.
We have some great plans for Diva, but those take years of development. I mentioned it before, we'll probably do an intermediate feature update (which, if you follow Z3 development closely, will be an absolutely obvious choice), hopefully this year, and then we'll focus on the big shifts, including Diva's modulation system.

Ok that is intresting... maybe ace could be given some extra filters eg of zebra 2 filters in a future update? I do think Ace needs some love as it is an excellent synth flying under the radar!

I'd like something added to Diva to simulate the MultiDrive in the Sub Phatty, Sub 37, etc.

I think the modular/cables UI is what keeps people away from Ace. I have always thought that it sounds good.surreal wrote: Fri Jan 16, 2026 6:27 pmI do think Ace needs some love as it is an excellent synth flying under the radar!

Just put them into a drawer.

https://ploki.gumroad.com/l/acid?layout=profileACID (All Cables In a Drawer) is a complete functional and aesthetic reimagining of the u-he ACE synthesiser.
It follows Swarm aesthetics and ergonomic approach.

Yeah, having tried Diva, I found it’s just not for me. I have other synths that cover the same ground, besides, and I simply prefer their interfaces and, honestly, sounds.
Nothing terribly wrong with Diva, that I can see, but I consider it a bit overrated if anything.

Yeah it sells so well because it's overrated, sure.

I'm taking another look at Diva. I guess it's biggest con is getting familiar with it's UI. If you already know your way around the classic synths from which Diva emulates modules, getting going with it probably isn't going to be a major hurdle, and you're probably going to spot differences from the original modules and how Diva's layout and features differ from those synths. But on the flip-side, someone who doesn't know those classic synths is going to have a hard time getting familiar with it in comparison to using dedicated emulations of those classic synths. A noob looking to cover some classic synths isn't likely going to jump into Diva and start Juno 60'ing or MS-20'ing from the get-go as would be the case with dedicated emulations. I would think that this familiarity barrier creates something of a divide among users who have a good time with Diva and those who don't. In the end it's a semi-modular synth for mixing modules as you wish, but I also imagine that lots of users come to Diva for more or less classic synths emulations.
Probably what would have served as an easier time with getting familiar with Diva is tutorials on emulating classic synths, pointing out differences from Diva along the way, and expanding from there into how Diva's ala carte makeup and options is interesting for other things, rather than being presented more vaguely as a versatile analog emulation synth.
Just some thoughts while looking at Diva again while the demo is crackling away in the background.
