6.) Is an alternative ADSR module/ mode planed that allows to create non linear ASDR curves? Or is there a way to use an MSEG as main envelope of an OSC? This would be amazing for designing impacts.

It's Friday night, I don't have the mental strength to answer in depth...
So, sound wise (envelope shapes, filter selection etc.), what is there now is what is going to be Zebra 3.0. Any further changes and additions may happen in 3.1 etc. Unless there are bugfixes, of course.
UI wise, a lot of things will change. Not the concept, but visualisation of modulation assignments for sure.
MPE etc. sure, certainly gonna happen. NKS - I'm hopeful, but I can see how developers start sweats when I mention it. I'm still pretty sure we should do it. Likewise, the ABCD macro project.
Presets, Module Presets... sure, a lot more to come
Modal Profiles... can be added any time. We have the tools and all that, but our content team is pretty overwhelmed with all the things that have to be done vs. all the things that would be nice to have.
Audio Input - basically about to hit internal beta testing. Depends on initial tests if we prioritise it or move it to 3.1, and whether or not we also want analysis.
Scope & steady waveform: Just zoom in far enough. It's switch to pitch detection and keep the top channel steady.
Back to evening activities, then back to modulation assignment visualisation tomorrow.

Urs,
Please give us "Wedge" sooner... Especially with Modal percussions, it is going to be immensely helpful. This is mostly the one big thing I miss from Zebra2. Other than that, Zebra 3 kicks butt. It takes half the time to create sounds as compared to Z2. New UI is perfect. A bit heavy on CPU but thats not an issue.
Sorry about the repeat pestering. For someone aspiring to be a preset creator, this would be so valuable.
Thank you.

A new "Wegde" is going to be in the next beta. It is not exactly the same as the original version can not be anti-aliased the same way, but I think we got pretty close, plus it sounds a lot better (way fewer artefacts).

Most of us had 2-3 weeks break... but yeah, the past two weeks were intense.

ok I fixed the way I'm implementing this unipolar timbre works for me now it took me all day and a few hours of noodling around with another synth that had the same issue to find a work around its not that hard to set it up as if timber were actually bipolar you just have to adjust the modulations a bit so the desired midpoint is halfway through the modulation rangeMatty686 wrote: Thu Jan 15, 2026 10:55 pmI can't use it this way it needs to be bipolar I actually decided to use instead of pressure because its means the volume is on by default if its bipolar and assigned to volume currently the synth possibility space is collapsing toward surge xt which has it implemented this way I was going to use release velocity instead of all this but Bitwig took a bug report about release velocity I sent them and actually made the issue worse meaning timbre is now the only option for controlling the synth volume that I am willing to use. as I said earlier my lead instrument is an ocarina and I am too disabled to record with a keyboard #accessibilitystrugglesUrs wrote: Thu Jan 15, 2026 6:31 pm MPE Timbre typically maps to CTRL-A for us, so we recommend to set it to CC #74.
We currently do not interpret CCs as bipolar though, which is compatible with the MPE specs even though they encourage bipolar interpretation. We might eventually add this as an option later on.

You can do non-linear ADSR curves with the "Feedback" envelope modifier (or whatever they are called) as far as I can tell. It is only available on the second slot.p3tr0m wrote: Fri Jan 16, 2026 9:45 pm 6.) Is an alternative ADSR module/ mode planed that allows to create non linear ASDR curves? With audio input does that mean an envelope follower for internal & external is coming?
For the small view of the osc there is missing the white dot that shows where it is in the timeline, which may worth adding.
Looking forward to the UI modulation improvements, hopefully not coming at a noticeably higher cost of CPU.

The preset display could be improved by adding a lot of functionality:
- Setting the favorites color/group directly in here, displaying it, too
- The author and collection could be displayed in small letter below
- Renaming could be possible inside the display itself

I really really wish the presets list text in browser would be just a notch larger. Even a 1px/pt could make a big difference.
Currently when I set the rest of the GUI to a comfortable size to work with, it's only the browser text that becomes hard to read. I think it's ok to have small text for labels because those don't change and are fixed, but currently the browser font size is same as label font size and when you're looking at a browser list you look at an endless list of ever changing names.

Would love more control over the ModNoise. HP or LP would be good enough. If you HP the noise you can different texture on how it affects pitch/cross mod. The Jupiter 8 had this option. Less low end, faster modulation.... They used the "pissing" sound effect on I think Frankie goes to Hollywood.
