Taking requests for Zebra Legacy inspired Zebra 3 presets...

I'd love it if there we're SPLIT presets for the keyboard players who always need a bass on the lower / pad or keys on the upper
Better yet would be if we could use two patches / bi timbral and make our own. I would've loved to see zebra 3 be capable of bi timbrality not just osc's, but actually capable of choosing 2 patches like TALs J8. Maybe it's possible somehow ?

Your DAW/host can’t do that???

I use Bitwig and it can do that easily.
I'd still welcome it if the Z3 Pitch modules had a key split function/midi note filter built-in. It would allow various possibilities that couldn't be done in the DAW.

@ 26:21 this video describes how to create a keyboard split using a ModMapper.pdxindy wrote: Sat Jan 17, 2026 10:05 pmI use Bitwig and it can do that easily.

I understand the appeal of key splits for performance reasons, but why do it in a single synth? What if you want Trillian for bass and Lounge Lizard for keys? Wouldn't it be better if hosts had that built in?
That said, there are multiple ways of splitting keys in Zeebs, but they are an aspect of the sound design of a single preset.
One day maybe we'll release a meta plug-in aimed at performing with key splits, layers and what not. But I think we'd be happy if someone else did that. What about Unify?

"It can do that easily" and "various possibilities that couldn't be done in the DAW" sounds like a contradiction. What couldn't be done though it can do that easily???pdxindy wrote: Sat Jan 17, 2026 10:05 pmI use Bitwig and it can do that easily.

I would need a concrete example to make sense out of this...

Indeed, mine does, in that you can set the keyrange of each synth.Urs wrote: Sat Jan 17, 2026 11:15 pm I understand the appeal of key splits for performance reasons, but why do it in a single synth? I image most hosts do.

I would not know, but it seems like a missed opportunity if they did not.

I never said that I'll get Z3 in TALs J8, I said I will worry about playing spilts with Tals J8 and my Polybrute 12, and Moog Muse respectfully. Aka where they make more sense to do splits so I don't have to rely on my daws features, especially if I have multiple daws, that can become a nightmare just for recall, or having to use 3rd party vsts like unify which i'm not much of a fan of anymore. cool ? cool..

There are some spectacular patches in Hybrids, like the Kitaro style pads.surreal wrote: Sat Jan 17, 2026 4:51 pm Actually anything from the Legacy Oldschools Chronosphere and MK Hybrids for Zebra 2 would be cool!!
